How Can I Prevent Thieves From Disconnecting My Horn Wires.?

I would say taking off the bumper is actually very simple., but I have also read that you don’t need to remove the bumper to do stuff with the horn wires
I was not aware of what's involved to relocate the wire, went by my shop but they just glanced at it didn't really look further in.
I just gave up and left it as is

Take your $300 use it for gas to drive up to my place, I'll move your factory horns in 5 mins for the price of 2 but connectors, a tube of shrink wrap, 3 zip ties and 1 cold Canadian beer. Plus I don't have to remove your grill or bumper at all.
Good to know it's simpler than I was told.

No problem at all. And $300 doesn't sound that bad to get it done, unless taking off the bumper and grill is real simple.
Would be a good time for black lower bumper if the assembly is coming off 🤔

I was talking to someone about putting a trap wire into it that when broken would set the alarm off. Wouldn’t be too difficult, just reroute the hood pin circuit trough it with some changes, you rip out the wires and the vehicle thinks the hood was opened… hmm, now I have 2 things to work on 😒😭
Also have it shoot out a bunch of tazer electrodes, might get lucky and catch them trying to drag off a buddy or 2

For the less "hands on" guys some kind of relocation harness would be ideal! :)
That is a good idea however no matter what you'll still need to open the factory harness shielding/wrap a bit to pull the harness back into the engine bay and or behind the rad support. If you don't the factory plug for the horns are still in reach to the thieves and can easily be unplugged. I had a steel tube covering the entire harness from the horns right to the steel rad support and those bastards still figured out a way to get inside of it and yank the connectors off. You need to get the connection point well inside the engine bay.

I had my local off-road warehouse move my horn to the bulkhead driver side of the engine bay. Simple install, they didn't remove the bumper/grill, used the existing mount and it took them less than 2 hours. Paid somewhere around $300. The horn is definitely less loud than it used to be, but not necessarily in a bad way....you can definitely still hear it.

Sorry missed that part. I inquired with a local shop and to relocate that horn would run me around $300 in labor.
Mainly bumper, grill removal time.
It's not nearly that involved. In this post, I talk a little about the relocation my buddy and I did while installing the shock sensor:

I didn't take any before or "during the install" pictures, because it's so simple and straightforward, anyone who can turn a ratchet and can cut and splice two wires can do this easily. It would take your average mechanic less than 30 minutes to do, so $300 is a little out there.

Going to try this myself.
Thanks
