Not sure why that is, it’s not like they have a unique service. Like @soulsea said eBay can sell a vehicle too and often times to a wider audience for a quicker sale.
There's no end to how easily people are willing to set their money on fire.
I've sat at black jack tables with people I know will spend three days cross shopping the internet to save $50 on their new TV but will lose thousands at the table because they won't spend half an hour to watch a YT basic black jack strategy tutorial.
Do you have any idea how crazy the fees are at Mecum and Barrett Jackson? Most buyers and sellers would do way better just listing their car on eBay or BaT. But they don't get the rush of the bid, or they don't get to be the center of attention for 15 minutes whilst their car is up for auction.
