Hellcats everywhere

When they announced the allocations I checked to see if my local dealer would have any of the last call hellcats. It was only out of curiosity. It didn't show they would be getting any. Now they have a black one on the lot 🤔. Thanks for sharing those photos 💯

Hellrango?
Stellantis and its dealers may have misgauged demand for the "last call" HCs.
There is a ton of demand. But people are not going to or can afford an 8% car loan on top of the huge markups both dealer and factory.

I still think the play was to flood the market so dealers could sell them into 2024.

I think you are partially correct, and car loan interest rates are smaller part of it.
If flooding the market, and trying to sell a 2023 vehicle in 2024 was the "plan"....it was a bad plan. If I walk onto the car lot, and find a 23 model in 24.....I want a discount ! Not to pay MSRP + $10K. Time will tell, but I believe the demand for new is not there, played out by the number sitting on the lots, used prices are not jumping and many of the HC WB used cars have been sitting on lots for 90-120 days.

But, I believe MOST people looking at a $90K or $100K vehicle have the money to put down a large % of the sale price and make a smaller monthly payment or can pay for the vehicle cash. So they are doing a cost / benefit analysis of cash VS finance....but either way they are buying the car.

Another thing, the "HC last call" has not driven up the price of cars on the used market.
For instance, 2019 HC RE WB.....Dealer asking $67K with 35K miles, for sale 160+ days......Walk in with $60K cash and drive it home (have it inspected by a third party inspection company first!). This would be $15K less than I got on trade 2 years ago on a similar car (lower miles).
Stellantis may have overplayed their hand.......

So in that instance do you think 75k for a 2019 HC RE WB with 9k miles is worth it?

Depends on the options. For perfect condition (no mods, VIN and ECM checks out) full leather seats, sunroof, HK, black hood-roof-trunk, driver group, tech group, and a clean bill of health...its not a bad price. If its been sitting on the lot for 30-60 days, offer them $70K cash. I am in the market for a C8 convertible 3LT and have been watching the prices of the 22's dropping month by month. Car prices are going back to normal and the sellers market is coming to an end.

They were asking 78,990 and I offered 75k been on the lot for 10days. No mods not sure about the ECM the carfax is clean on the VIN.

Thats a nicely optioned car. A bird in the hand and all that, if you like the car and the extra $5K is not a big deal....pull the trigger. If its not a Dodge dealer who can give you a report, definitely take it to a dealership before you buy it and have them run the VIN and plug it into their diag tool. Super important you are buying a car that has not been modded / warranty (power train) voided.

I like it felt like it was nicely optioned as well and colors. I think they are a dodge dealer so I’ll ask if they will run scan tool to verify. Thanks for your input I appreciate it
