Heads up display feedback

I'm 6'2 and I feel like I have to duck down a little to see it. Also if I'm wearing my polarized Oakleys it seems a little dim, if it's daytime I can barely see it. I've never even looked to see if the brightness can be adjusted but I'm assuming no.
I'm 6.3" and had the same issue! Looked up how to adjust it, changed in settings brightness to 10(was at 4) and lowered it to 1 so now as I'm sitting straight I can see it perfectly and bright. What a change and I can now really appreciate the HUD

I went 50% on windshield with no effect on hud
Perfect! I usually do the same 50% on the windshield. Had an F82 M4 prior with hud and had the same question. Something about windshield tint makes the truck look so much better on top of the pros of seeing on a sunny day lol

Thank you!

Is there a setting I am overlooking to have the turn signals on the HUD?

I don’t think that’s an option unless I overlooked that too. I was going back and forth over which view I was going with, and even custom didn’t have that choice to put on the heads up.

im only 5'10 but i have my seat on the highest setting just so I can get a better view over the hood (off-road settings also used on the road) and i can't see my HUD either. I would say if you are buying your truck to use in the dirt, no point in paying extra for HUD.

also for those with polarized sunglasses, just tilt your head a bit to the right and the hud will be visible. this is an old bmw trick.

Did you try adjusting the HUD height?

I didnt know that was possible. i will read through the manual and try it.
No real need for the manual. On the steering wheel, select through the menu, go to "settings", move the arrow to find HUD.
You can adjust height and left-right. You can also adjust brightness. The trucks come from the factory with a dim setting and depending on your height you'll barely see it.
You can adjust it to where it fits you perfectly

Hi

Lifting an old thread. Does anyone else have issues with that the speed limit isn't shown in the HUD? I do see it in the NAV but no matter what settings I have for the HUD the speed limit object only says SPEED LIMIT and two --. Nav shows properly though so the data is there, but not feeding the HUD properly. 🤔

I'm hearing clicking/ticking from the HUD area when presumably the heads up display cover opens and closes to display the data. Happens shortly after engine on and off. Is this normal? I've checked the fuse and it's seated fine.

Also, I wish mine was level! Mine leans to the right. It annoys the piss out of me!

@Ravage

Did you ever get this resolved? I just picked up my TRX on Monday and immediately noticed this. At first, I thought I might be imagining it, but nope - it leans to the right.

love HUD. not sure I'll ever go back to a car without it.

After further review it seems the curve of the glass has a roll in the "distortion". If I move my head left-right-up-down, the shape and "lean" of the image changes slightly. After looking over other threads on this topic I'm going to just live with it (which is what most people are doing near as I could tell).
