Group Buy: Entropy Radiators

No need to apologize, interest is interest, you never said "I'm in no matter what." :)

When was that radiator built for your Jeep? Hand built, lifetime warranty, made in USA items were never cheap, but they've gotten worse since the COVID years.

I hate the mindset of “hand built made in the USA is never cheap”

I’m working with a company that makes things in the USA when a lot of our competitors get parts manufactured in china.
And the company I’m helping is 20-30% cheaper than the competition.

The TRX and Raptor Tax are sadly a real thing.

I’ve consulted with a number of companies that either considered or do currently make parts for the trx Raptor and some Gm products…

The “tax” OFTEN is simply because the companies think “if they can afford a $100k truck then they can afford the price hit”

The best was billet UCA. Same company would have taco arms for $1200 and raptor arms for $1800

I am glad you work with a company that worked out that way, but in my experience with multiple vehicles, it’s not the norm. I am not saying USA built is the most expensive, just that it’s usually not the cheapest.

I have no doubts there is a tax frequently, do not disagree with you.

Based on their other radiators for sale, in this specific case, I don’t think there is more tax on us then any others, although it may have took a group buy to get us there.

I am told we have 3 orders placed. So we now qualify for at least the first "tier" of discount. If you are serious, please place your order ASAP, so they get into the first batch (and the next discount level!).

As I said before, PM me for "how to order" details if you were not on the initial list and/or have not gotten anything from me yet.

Is the dimensions the same?
Frank told me that it will be at least a little larger in size, but it will fit in place of the stock unit without modification.

Ticking time bomb

I apologize for dropping out but my radiator leak sealed up so I'm in no rush to replace it unless there is a deal too good to pass up. I will gladly buy someone's OE leaking radiator off them once they get their Entropy installed. I plan on sending it out to PWR since they have a lot of experience with off-road vehicles.
Mine has signs of the dreaded upper right side leak too. How did yours "seal up"? All by itself or did you add/do something?

Mines is under an extended warranty but I still may be interested in a better one.

All by itself, I didn't attempt to fix it. I noticed my coolant was low and found stains from dried-up coolant on the inside of my skid plate and some fresh coolant on the corner of the radiator. I added around 1/3rd of a gallon of coolant and have been monitoring it since June. I've put around 3000 miles on the truck and the coolant level has not changed. It seems like I had a very minor leak to start with.
Thanks, mine is minor (so far) and I was thinking about using 1/2 can of Bars or something like it. I haven't pulled the covers off yet or used a scope to see if I can tell what's going on. Guess I'll wait a while see how it goes since it's not been leaking much or showing any signs of overheating.

Update: For those of us that placed orders, Frank has advised me today that they are expecting our orders to start shipping before the end of the month.

Update from Frank for everyone waiting: a couple more weeks before shipping.

Whoa. I backed out cuz of pricing back then so $500 more is quite a hike.
I think he may be referring to lack of group buy discount after this, unless he and Frank have been talking separately.

Thanks @DrVoddka. He has not informed me of this; that they were more complicated than they thought initially, yes, but not about price increases.

Guess I'm glad we got in when we did.
