Go Rhino or Mopar offroad running boards

Confirmed they are backwards. Go Rhino emblem should be towards the back.
I think it looks funny the other way around. I put mine on both ways and i definitely like my slimline from smaller to bigger… which is the same contour of the truck.

I don’t think they go one way or the other tbh. I also think they look better this way

He didn’t ask if one way looked better than the other. Only if they were on backwards. Technically they are….

I have the Go Rhinos on my truck and the boards are very nice. I'll say this though - even though the boards are coated in truck bed liner on the ones I bought, the brackets are not, They are painted. The bracket paint quality was not great when I got them - some minor scratches, etc... so after a few months I noticed that the brackets had some surface rusting already. I removed the boards, cleaned up the brackets, sprayed the brackets again and reinstalled. If you're in an area where snow and salt are a thing - I would recommend respraying those brackets before install or checking on them after a few months. Otherwise, I could see how after a few years, these brackets might be rusting through. FYI - the hardware it comes with are not stainless and the bolts/nuts will rust as well.

Anybody have experience with goRhino warranty? I purchased a set of rb20 from them directly and they came in with some damage. I’ve sent them an email with photos as well as a 2nd request email as instructed by their customer rep over the phone. Haven’t received a response in a week now since my first inquiry. Anybody have experience with their warranty can chime in if they are just usually slow to respond or do I need to keep following up with them.

Thanks.

I'm definitely ordering the factory ones. if I'm going to spend 100k on a pickup I'm not going to worry about saving $300 with Ronco aftermarket running boards.
I really like the RB20 slims but one of my regrets after ordering was not getting the Mopar off-road

mopar ones look and function best for fixed option imo, plus its aluminum, no rust..

Anyone happen to have the width of the Mopar off road running boards? Trying to compare them to RB20s that are 7.5 in wide.

Installed the gorhino dominator steps today. Well built. Heavy.
That looks good. These are the ones I decided on to help me and the family hop in. I wanted fixed (not powered) and flat, but these also have a nice drop to them and sit a little lower. I have an appt at Line-X to coat them next week before I install them.

Anyone know if the rb20 regular width running boards, stick out wider than the truck? My truck barely fits in my garage got about 2 inches on each side, I see these running boards are 7.5 inches at the widest point, curious to know if these are even an option for me.

I would buy the oem ones as they are aluminum. I’ve had gorhinos before on my old 2500, and 4Runner and the inside brackets that the boards sit in, rust out quickly, and won’t buy them again. They are wider and will save your door from dings tho, that’s a plus.

If you do get them, lineX or fluid film the bracket and seat before installing.

Interesting, but the price difference is too high between these rb20/30 when compared to OEM. On Mopar site I see OEM(82215508AD) for 1965 (can get 10-15% off) and i could get rb30 for 500.

They shouldn't...here is a look at mine after installing 20" wheels, but with the stock offset and 13.5 tires, so the boards with the standard tires/wheels should be the same.

Incidentally, after I took these photos I switched out to the standard Mopar off-road boards...just didn't like seeing the brackets under the Rhino boards in the side profile.

Thank you, that answers my question. Now I am starting to notice the brackets too from all the pics on the web, honestly I don't like them either. The new rb30 boards have a different design for the brackets, wonder how they would look from the side.

I am a bit OCD and once I noticed them, I couldn't "unsee" them. I ordered the truck with the rock rails but they are too small to be useful as steps to a large degree. So now I have the Rhino's and the rock rails in my garage...I need to list them at some point. I love the OEM boards and did Tyler Potter's mod and mounted them up closer to the body...he has a YouTube video on it.

If you decide you want the Rhinos, let me know. I get up to your area on occasion and could make you a deal.

Here is a side shot of the Rhinos...you can see the brackets below them.

wheels look great. looks like with the RB30's they fixed the design and removed the part that rusted. Glad they heard the feedback.
