I asked the same question 6 months ago and the answer is no. You would think all the cameras could be on a short 5 minute loop that you could use.does anybody know if you can somehow use the front camera as a dash cam where you can set it to record?
the fact that they haven’t been able to make it work that way with the Tazer or another aftermarket part boggles my mindI asked the same question 6 months ago and the answer is no. You would think all the cameras could be on a short 5 minute loop that you could use.
I’m waiting on a few more parts and I am attempting to add an aftermarket camera to the front and enabling as the cargo camera. I will report back if I’m successfulHi from NM! I just took delivery of my TRX this week. Wow, what a beast! I really like it but wish it had a camera in the front. Is there any way to add one? TIA
Please do. In the meantime, I’m got the mopar auxiliary trailer cams on my short list. Plan to find a way to turn them into cargo bed & front camera (my front cam is partially blocked by Pod LEDs on Pre-runner mount)I’m waiting on a few more parts and I am attempting to add an aftermarket camera to the front and enabling as the cargo camera. If it boggles your mind why don’t you create it?The

Maybe because electronic manufacturing isn’t my job? I have a profession like everyone else. Someone who specializes in that field created the Tazer dt and other similar products it’s just an extra feature that I’m surprised isn’t available. If it boggles your mind why don’t you create it?
That’s my point tho. People say this about every industry they don’t know, and act like it should just be done because it’s so simple or something. People in charge also do this all the time when they don’t have the technical knowledge or experience and are put in charge because of some degree or nepotism. You would need to connect every shitty quality camera to a custom built board with pass through to the stock infotainment system so you don’t lose functionality. Hope that the raw video feed isn’t some proprietary bull shit and then create a way to access your custom built computer easily and reliably. It would be 100x less expensive and easier to install multiple dash cams already designed for this purpose. Not to mention as previously posted the quality and resolution would probably be fucked.Maybe because electronic manufacturing isn’t my job? I have a profession like everyone else.
