Front and rear camera parking

The TRX doesn’t have active park assist. And again, the 2022 TRX does not have the ability to use the parking sensors to trigger the front camera. Need to use Tazer or install 2023 radio and CVPM.

Did not think they did and wouldn't use if it was available myself to each their own.

Just always stuck me as a glaring omission on Ram’s part. Not like any extra hardware was required, just programming. Plus, GMs have done it pretty much since front cameras became a thing.

More corporate b.s. to force people to purchase things they should not have to. Hoping this business model is going away. Won't hold my breath you gotta get greed out of it and unfortunately that's more difficult than it should be to achieve!

The camera you will have to activate yourself each time unfortunately. As for the parking sensors they are always on unless you turn them off so it will beep if too close. Have you tried the 360 cam for parking? That gives you an aerial of the truck!

How does that work ?

On the infotainment select the vehicle button from there cameras and then 360. Takes the information from all cameras and makes an aerial. That will show you the stall lines when parking. I used my side mirror cams alot when I first got the TRX but now it is like other vehicles I drive alot ya get usto exactly how to do it.

2022s don’t support Parksense based camera activation but for what it’s worth, 2023+ (or any TRX swapped with 2023+ components like mine) will. Just need to turn it on with AlfaOBD.View attachment 142885
Tazer is the other option. That feature was pretty buggy for me so I was glad to add it via factory parts and settings but maybe it works better by now.

Does Parksense activate just the front camera or the surround cameras? What are the AlfaOBD settings that need to be changed to activate Parksense? Thanks!

It pulls up the surround view with the front camera being shown in the main box.
