Finally TRX vs Escalade V

Apparently GM think the Hummer EV is enough of a competitor despite literally every one being produced is filled with issues since they rushed it to market. Can't deny it's cool and I want one eventually but it just doesn't compete in the same genre.

This is all I think about any time someone brings up EVs in comparison:

Bought my wife a 2022 bmw x7 M and it is insanely refined, the interior is like nothing I have ever seen before. puts even the TRX to shame.

Look at TFL- the Hummer they bought has left them stranded and gone into 2wd mode only. That’s a hard pass for me.

So, I have both, just got my awesome ‘23 red TRX this past Wednesday and have had the Escalade V since August of last year.

I’m 3 for 3 in the V against 3 TRX’s around town. The driver of the Escalade in that video didn’t have a clue what he was doing. You need to go to V mode and brake and throttle full down until the traction light is flashing and then release the brake and the V launches hard. It’s several hundred lbs lighter with more gears with a touch less horsepower.

I love them both and I may try to race them against each other sometime to see what’s up. They both haul ass for sure for a big truck/SUV. I got the V for sticker so it was a no brainer buy. Super nice SUV and exhaust sound is absolutely insane for stock. Way more aggressive than the TRX.

Both are quicker than they need to be, of course. But C&D got 0-60 in 4.3s in the V (standard wheelbase) and 3.7 in the TRX. Similar story in Motor Trend, but closer. 4.4 in the V, and 4.1 in the TRX. Personally, I got 3.9 Dragy verified bone stock in my TRX. If you use the 1ft rollout time like the magazines, that time was 3.66s.

Might be a somewhat of a driver’s race on the street, but it still leans heavy toward the TRX from everything I’ve seen.

It'll probably never happen.. But I've already formulated my response, to someone in a EV who wants to race.

Cali to New York for pink slips... I can't pack extra fuel, and you can't haul a trailer with a generator.

Bringing copious amounts of blow, is acceptable for both parties. :ROFLMAO:

I think they are both close enough in the real world to be a driver's race. Either way, it's just awesome there is an Escalade V GM finally produced and Ram makes the incredible TRX. Feel very fortunate to own both. I'm a supercharged V8 whore for sure.

I think the drag race with Escalade is very close either way. Anything off pavement, not so much😂

V is nice, congrats! However, if you line up at a light next to a Trackhawk or Durango HC don’t even waste your gas, just let them go!

I agree with this. Those are definitely faster than the VSlade. Anyway, it's all in good fun as honestly the TRX nor the Escalade (or the Trackhawk, Durango HC) are that fast in the realm of fast cars.

Good reply!

It’s a sick aaa SUV. But for the price I just don’t see how it’s even viable unless you got “fuck you money”. I know you aren’t suppose to say well if I mod this to match the value. But it’s hard not to think about it for the trx price point you can make it demolish the V. Also why is nobody pissed they put this engine in an SUV instead of the ZR2?

Comparing and EV and an ICE vehicle in a race is like comparing the trans guy on the womens swim team, to all the other female swimmers. Sure he/she "wins" all the races, but it all comes down to the differences under the SKIRT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife drives and x7 m50 and I give her hell everytime I ride in it about how poor she must be to have a tiny little center stack and and a non digital rear view mirror...

I still love driving her car and her cold starts in the garage are just as enjoyable as mine are :)

The neighbor right next door's wife has a X5 M, that may or may not have something to do with why I put the AWE exhaust on. It WAS neck and neck with the 392 cold starts but, let's just say, her's definitely isn't louder any more and leave it at that... :ROFLMAO:

Getting a GM truck at sticker is shocking, can you share which dealer ?

Lol its the same in our 17 GLE 63. No touch screen and the media from the late 90s but it's fast as hell.
