Factory Order with Koons - Finance

I’m from DFW as well. As someone above said, reach out to @Miles Goff. He’ll take good care of you for 4% under invoice. Paperwork wise, the only thing you have to do is to bring your truck for State Inspection as soon as your county clerks receive paperwork from him, which I just did this morning. He will take care all the tax and registration. That will be it. I know it’s weird to say this, but the experience working with him is nothing like we got from dealers down here in the DFW area.

My order took around 6 months to deliver. I was also building a house at the time as well and it took an entire year lol. So I ended up getting the truck 4 months after closing the house.

Bluebonnet CJDR in New Braunfels is the #1 volume Ram dealership in Texas. I've purchased 3 Ram trucks from them and they are absolutely the bestvdealership I've ever worked with. They guarantee to beat any real deal from any other Ram dealership in the state.

Thanks guys, to clarify - I'm already committed to my order with Koons, but appreciate the recommendations. Just disappointed in the lack of progress (although others have waited for far longer). The idea about what the ZR2 (which I'm getting at MSRP) would value at trade-in is interesting to me, I don't know that I want to roll those dice though, since I'd be financing with either purchase and it might look odd from a lenders perspective to see 2 vehicle transactions right after closing on a house.

Got those wait time blues.

Well, back on June 1 my ZR2 delivered and I pulled the trigger.
Looks like my TRX shipped today, and could arrive in the next 2-3 weeks.

Hope I'm able to trade the ZR2 and secure good financing on the TRX.

Anybody who purchased from Koons that can give me an idea of what happens now that it has shipped? I'd like to get the ball rolling on securing financing and make arrangements to pick up the vehicle, but so far the response from their team has just said "no updates, once it hits the ground here we'll let you know so you can plan to complete the purchase."

Good luck on securing good financing... rates suck compared to may 2021 when I financed 50k of my TRX cost @ 1.35%

My god that’s great! I was seeing Navy Federal rates around 2.0 earlier this year and now they’re at 3.6! What financing options gave you good deals?

I purchased my TRX from Meador in FW.
I purchased from Meador as well... I'm about to pull trigger @ roger williams weatherford. But going to check out a few dealerships mentioned on this thread under MSRP.

I ordered mine through Mark Dodge in Lake Charles. $8k under MSRP when I ordered. $444 fees. They're a lot closer than KY or VA. Ask for Sandi.
Spoke with Sandi at Mark Dodge.

This is the Mark Dodge current deal
Based on the notes i took. (Barely read my writing)
If MSRP is 90k or less - $8500 off
If MSRP is $90,001-$99,999 - $9000 off
If MSRP is 100k+ - 10k off

For me 100% better than koons or granger as I can fly over & drive back avoid shipping fees and knockout 350 of the 500 miles for break in.

g-force thanks for info

This is exactly what I just did, drove it home on Friday. Sandi was great to work with, and the guys at Mark Dodge were top notch. They even picked me up at the airport

The bonus is that if you live in NTX, you can structure the drive to make your initial break in less painful, i.e., so the first 100 miles is on 55 mph roads and most of the next 200 miles is on 70 mph roads.

Well, the truck is on the ground at Koons but apparently they won't accept wire transfer of funds from my credit union. EECU (TX) approved us for 78mo at 5.04%. We'll see what the Koons lender comes back with. EECU says they will hold the application for 90 days and will refinance us if we sign with dealership. Anyone else have this experience re: wire transfer of funds @ Koons?

They wouldn't do it for me either 3 weeks ago. They took a check from the credit union if I let them run my credit to try and offer me a better rate, they couldn't beat the rate. Otherwise, the credit union would have to issue the check and you would have to let it clear before you could pick up the check

Thanks for the feedback. Can I DM you some questions about your experience?

So finance through Koons and refinance when I get home? Traveling from FL to pick up at Koons early Nov.

OP - I ordered 5/20. Truck was built 9/30. Estimated Delivery 11/6

If your CU or outside financing will provide a cashier's check, you're golden. Koons won't accept wire transfers for some reason. As soon as you get confirmation that your vehicle has delivered, blow up their phone because they slow roll the f out of out-of-state purchases, and you're working against a 14-day clock. Ask for Adam to make things easier. Just my 2¢

Hey guys. I'm in the market for a TRX in Texas, but I don't want to purchase until June-July. We are closing on our house in April or May, so I don't want to take any credit hits until then. All that said, I've called a couple of local dealers in Fort Worth, but none so far will do a factory order. I don't want to deal with the out of state tax-related rigmarole so I'm reaching out for guidance.

1. Do any TRX forum members know of a dealership in TX that will take a factory order?
2. Has anyone placed a factory order in February 2022, and if so what was the delivery timeframe estimated at?

I reserved a 2022 Silverado ZR2 with Classic Chevrolet, and since I'm a repeat customer so they will allow me to withdraw my deposit if I change my mind. I'm hoping there's a dealer that will help me change my mind on a TRX.

Appreciate any guidance, I will continue digging through the various MSRP threads for an answer.
Glenn Polk in Gainesville Texas will factory order, That is where I ordered my 2022 TRX. Great People (Chad Maynard is who to talk with), No MSRP mark up either.
