Extended Warranty Worth it?

I got a fidelity warranty. I heard from 4 or 5 shops that they are great to work with and always pay without problem. Got mine for a little over 3k for coverage up to 110k miles!
This sounds like a great deal…..do you have a link to the Fidelity online site?

You have to go through a broker. The guy I used can be contacted at [email protected]
I found him on a Porsche forum. He gives 45% off full price!
Question about the Fidelity warranty. Any experience with a claim? I saw in their contract you have to go through the selling dealer for approval first before you can make a repair claim elsewhere.

There is a phone number you call and tell them where you are and they give you a list of nearby repair shops they cover. You just pick whichever one you like!

I got the Mopar warranty from Granger in 2022. It cost me $3,450 for 8 years / 85,000 miles. It just covered a new engine for me that would have been pushing a $30,000 repair according to the dealer.

Yea that warranty now is about 9k… inflation’s a bitch.
And I had my truck sit at a Ram dealer for months for a transmission replacement that it didn't really need. They won't open a transmission. I'll never get another Ram warranty again after that experience!

Before you go the Car Shield route, look them up on the FTC website and research peoples experience with them. Just remember US FIDELIS !
From online posts:
If you pop an engine or transmission, don't expect it to be properly rebuilt or replaced with new....99% of the time it will be a used part or it will not be covered at all. There are specific qualifiers of what is or isnt a "normal wear" item. Say you burn a trans clutch, which takes out other hard parts. CS will simply say the clutch experienced normal wear, therefore the clutch and other related items are not covered. Or they will require the owner to pay for "discovery" of the bad part. If your engine develops an internal issue, YOU will have to pay for the teardown...then CS will determine IF they will pay for the repair. They are crafty.

I'm coming up on the end of my 3/36 bumper-to-bumper warranty, so I'm looking at extended warranty plans. It looks like the best bet is still the Mopar Extended Care Premium plan. It's unlikely that I'll keep my truck longer than 7 years, so I priced out the 7/60k plan. Granger has the cheapest price I can find at $2670 with a $200 deductible. Zeigler is selling the same plan for $415 more. Anybody else sell the plans cheaper than Granger?

Side note. I am in the market too, my 3yr will be up in early 2027. Does the MECP cover injectors and subsequent damage from a stuck injector ?

It doesn't specify, but it does say this: “IF IT’S MECHANICAL, IT’S COVERED!” I'm going to search the internet for the plan provisions before I purchase it. I suppose Granger could send me a copy if I can't find it. The Granger Warranty does list injectors on their plan, but I just don't trust non-factory warranties.

Time to change your avatar pic. Red truck in the pic and blue truck listed as your current ride.;)

Thanks! And YES will do! I was trying to get the new garage interior done (gray paint, black diamond plate, red stripe) done as the backdrop for the new truck. But the so far its been a year of yard work !

I used Grainger for mine and used it locally at the dealership with no problem. My intercooler pump went bad.

Was that including Zeigler's 'PAYINFULL' $365 discount? Last I looked at their website, about a month ago, that code still worked.

I didn't know there was a discount code. Even if the code works, it would still be $50 more than Granger. Is there an advantage buying through Zeigler vs Granger?

My dealer said either the Mopar plan or the one they offer (Assurant) I`m as always thinking the MECP one would be a better bet. However ive seen Assurant used on a lot of really high end cars with no real issues.

I bit and bought one. Forgot the company but went with what my dealer sold.

None - each dealer is simply clicking a button on a corporate website to attach the service contract to your VIN. Zeigler sells for $100 over cost... Granger does it for $50.

I got a warranty from Titan that I purchased from my dealer. Here are the options they offered me. I did the 48/48k anad negotiated $4850.
60 / 75k miles $5940
48/48k miles $4940
36/36k miles $ 4100
This coverage is for bumper-to-bumper with roadside assistance and rental

I sent a message to Granger asking for the plan provisions. They sent me this:
As it has been posted before, clogged injectors are not covered. If a warranty claim was denied due to the injector being stuck open, flooding a cylinder, I would lawyer up and fight it.
