MHF?
MHF?
I paid $400 (plus shipping of $128) from auto lighting off eBay. I reached out directly and offered lower then advertised and they messaged me. For that price they had to invoice me directly and skipped the eBay fees. They worked with me and got my wheel in 25 days. Great communication and quality wheel.Really curious what everyone is paying for these wheels. I have a line directly to one of the manufacturers and I want to compare to the quote they have been giving me.
yea they usually tell you how long its going to be made before they mfg it, and when it ships.Did they give you updates along the way. Mine has been ordered a week, and zero updates
$420 plus the shipping but via eBay. I was an early purchaser and didn't want to risk not having the buyer's protection. Great comms and no issues, super pleased with the wheel.I paid $400 (plus shipping of $128) from auto lighting off eBay. I reached out directly and offered lower then advertised and they messaged me. That’s easy and only takes a minute. The hardest part is the airbag, but watched a few videos about the little holes in side of the steering wheel and had it off in three minutes.Any issues with moving over the paddle shifters
None, super easy. When you remove your old wheel, snap a few pictures to see where all the wires are routed. The wiring for the controls and paddles are recessed into cutouts on the sides...it will make sense when you start to take it apart. Take your time, it's all plug and play and just a matter of being careful. Nothing requires prying so if the paddle or switch is coming off, you missed the screw holding it on. The airbag sucks, it's the only hard part, but once you figure it out you could easily repeat it.Any issues with moving over the paddle shifters
They provided an update (with a pic) once it was manufactured and ready for shipping. I did reach out about a week and a half after ordering to check up on it and they said it was almost done. Communication was excellent through the eBay messaging.Did they give you updates along the way. Mine has been ordered a week, and zero updates
Is that the matte carbon fiber?Installed today. Thanks for the recommendation, night and day compared to stock. Great quality and pretty easy install.
When I first installed I had issues too.Ordered mine through unleashed customs but after looking at all the other brands they all look very similar. Love the look but since the heated steering wheel wires come from the side where the perforated leather is and not run up the back of the wheel like the stock wheel my down arrow button gets stuck sometimes. I guess with the wires and it being thicker now that it’s carbon the leather gets caught on that button. I might just have to remove the wheel again and trim some leather. Anyone else have this issue?
Gotcha so maybe it is the wire and not the leather. I saw someone above posted the way the wires should sit and i wish i looked on here before i installed it lol. Thanks for the info! When I first installed I had issues too.
Had to bring it back to my shop and get it removed and was told they had to reposition the wires around. My guess is you should have it all fit and work properly but these wires have to sit a certain way for it all to work.
Like you said these are all from the same place so I'm sure they are all made with same or similar components.
Just pop the airbag back off, pop the 2 little covers off on the back, remove the 2 rear screws and 4 screws inside holding the bezel on and you can look at/reposition the wires without removing the steering wheel from the column again.Gotcha so maybe it is the wire and not the leather. I have a similar issue with my buttons on the left side. As others have mentioned I chalked it up to the positioning of that cables. It doesn't bother me enough to take it all apart again and readjust though, I will someday but I don't use the buttons enough for it to bother me.Ordered mine through unleashed customs but after looking at all the other brands they all look very similar. I was a bit skeptical as well but we went through Paypal and I used a credit card to pay for the invoice just in case. I had customized it a bit more but then decided against it. I felt more at ease when the seller refunded a portion of the cost due to the changes. I figured a scammer wouldn't refund anything. The seller definitely checks out.$420 plus the shipping but via eBay. I was an early purchaser and didn't want to risk not having the buyer's protection. Yea my left side is slightly harder to depress than factory, due to the filament behind it, not a big deal. Its improved over time. I love this wheel 10x over the stock one, so who cares, imo.I have a similar issue with my buttons on the left side. As others have mentioned I chalked it up to the positioning of that cables.
