Needs a zerk for sure, its amazing even the stock one does not have one. Chevy driveshaft, 200,000 miles, zerk, no clunks, Ford F350, zerk, 150K no issues. (my old 4x4 stuff, both lifted )

My 2008 4Runner with 208k miles. Notorious for a DS clunk. When I feel it I just grease the zerks on the driveline and it goes away for at least a year sometimes longer.
