Driveline Thump FIX . 1 year later

Still no issues. Forgot it was ever an issue at this point. Maybe this statement will jinx it but so far so good.
Good to know!! I'm at 11k miles on my 22 and still no clunk (knock on wood). But if I ever do this will be my go to fix

Anybody with a 2023 Experience a thump thunk yet? I have yet to hear or feel anything yet, curious if mine is on a timer and I am doomed soon :p

I have a 2023 with 22,000 mi. Had the clunk since almost new.
Also had my transfer case replaced for a different clunk / popping noise.
Still have at lease one more other clunk and tracked it down it down to the lower stabilizer arm on the passenger side of rear diff. Haven’t scheduled that repair yet.

mine stopped after i replaced my transmission, 8k miles ago.

My 23 started around 5,000 miles

Eeeek, thanks... good 2023 info

I must have a bad case of the clunk because I really hoped this would fix mine but it did not.

So when you grease this sucker up. Are you going with thin and even coat around the splines or are you going slightly overkill for adequate lubing?

my 23 started having the clunk at around 1k miles. I noticed it once and realized what it was, and then it got worse over the course of a few weeks. Strangely enough it stopped happening around 2k, hasn't happened since.

At 3.2k miles now

I'd missed the original post, but it's a bit surprising, given Ram's focus on a super special grease, that LiquiMoly's basic grease (which is good grease, but not their fancy grease) fixed it.

Did you use that lube from the post?
Yes sir. As well as the Ford PTFE lube, Stellantis lube and a new driveshaft.

I took my truck in for warranty work on the radiator Monday. I also brought to their attention the TSB for "the clunk". They said it will be repaired at the same time they complete the radiator swap.

Question: Is there any specific grease and/or other products I should suggest them to use besides what the TSB says? They told me they were going to use a "GM grease". Sounded odd...

Luckily, I am good friends with the mechanic that works at the dealership so I have full faith in his skills and abilities.

Have any of you dirt bike-types lubed the driveshaft splines with Bel-Ray Waterproof grease? I have a tub of it in the garage. A quick glance at the TDS and it seems to have better specs than the Liqui Moly grease. If I get the clunk, I think I'll give it a try.
