Thanks to @marksouth for the recommendation! I found this at a local store and immediately grabbed the bottle. Love it!!! Digging the hint of apple and pear on the finish. Cheers all and Merry Christmas!

Awesome, glad you like it. I enjoyed my first bottle so much after the first taste, I went back the next day and grabbed a second to put on the shelf.

Awesome find! Let us know how you like it compaired to The Confiscated and The St. Patricks!
Update, so for my taste, I’d put it ahead of Confiscated, and probably behind St. Patrick’s. It’s still a great sipper IMO. Compared to St Pattys, it’s more viscous, the flavor is a little bolder with what tastes like raisins. I typically prefer a little sweeter flavor, so that’s why I’d put St. Pattys ahead of it. I’ll have to try them side by side to see if that changes anything for me.

Great review!!! I'm going to definitely do my best to find a bottle locally..... and if not, order online via Caskers or Seelbachs, etc.

A couple of new picks this week. The Churros Makers has a hint of cinnamon and sugar on the palette. It’s quite smooth, and has a hint of sweetness that I like.

The Castle and Key purchase was inspired by “Neat”. If you haven’t seen it, Marianne Eaves was named the first female master distiller. I’m eager to try it out.

Have a few wines and whisky’s coming this week too… should be a good week!

Cheers!

Monday’s delivery…. A Pinot noir and Chenin blanc from WarPaw Wine. I’ve been eager to try their wines for a while, but every time I remembered to check the website, they were out. Finally found these in stock last week.

WarPaw Wine was created by a former Seal team member. They also make some killer knives at their other company, Half Face Blades.

Wow! I can't even imagine something being so good that it beat Batch 12 by a mile. SJr, B12 stands as one of the best pours I've ever had.

I know, I love batch 12 so much I have an unopened one behind it. The GTS is just a totally different animal, and truthfully not a fair comparison as mind blowing as that is!

Was able to find the coveted C923 at a little over msrp at 99 clams. Shared some with friends last evening. Outstanding bourbon. Viscous, oily, cherry notes! The ECBPs are always well worth it and this one does not disappoint. Cheers!

Really interested in your thoughts on the Sinatra!!! I love everything JD has been putting out lately and your review may push me over the edge to order a bottle!!!!
I had seen some mixed reviews… only because of the price (was it worth the $160ish MSRP). I’ll say, I get that the proof is low for the price point. The flavor matches the JD website description, smooth vanilla finish. In fact, each sip seems to add more vanilla. The smokiness they describe is more subdued in my opinion. It does have legs on the glass, but it’s much thinner than expected when you sip. And I’d definitely say a smooth sipper, light and airy, low proof. I like it.

I guess I’d say overall, I might not spend that much for the bottle alone, but it does have a nice presentation (box and all, and I’m a sucker for those things too), and it’s a 1L as opposed to a 750 mL. In fact, when the guy handed it to me at the store, I was really surprised at the heft of the box and bottle together. I’m happy with the purchase.
