Couple questions after an accident

In order to drive around in a Prius I would need to be drunk as well.
A long time ago, I had a few drinks out at a bar while out of town, I called an Uber to get back to the hotel, and ended up canceling (tried Lyft) when I saw that the responding Uber was a Prius.

So unlike you sir, I am still able to make sound decisions (not be seen in a Prius) when drunk.

This is how it should go

But, sometimes the initial estimate is just that and the body shop will find other things wrong once they open it up....once you accept the check that is it...
No after talking with them and the shop apparently you get the initial check and if more is found the shop files and adjustment directly with the insurance company for the difference in price, nothing I have to do.

As someone who just finished replacing the tailgate, bumper and tail light after something similar, I suggest you don't go thru insurance. My total was around 3 grand for all of that painted (tailgate) and installed. You can reuse most of the parts on the bumper and the bumper shell comes powder coated when ordered. The bumper shell itself is around $400 and you can pay the body shop on your own to install it. Likely much cheaper and faster than going thru insurance.
