I just throw a cooling neck gaiter over my console since I like to have one easily accessible for its various uses. I primarily do this because I don’t like the feel of my forearm sticking to the leather and I guess secondarily I don’t have to worry about transferring dirt and sweat into it.

Alcantara is a man-made material, when it gets matted down (from dirt and hand oils) it can be cleaned with a brush and soap (they have cleaners) to bring back it's original look

Got the amazon one black with the red sticthing, really a perfect fit for the bucks, takes a few days to kind of mold to the console but all in all looks nice

I just went with a super simple microfiber. It’s soft on my arm and keeps me from getting burned on that stupid badge. I also keep one in each door for the ladies wearing shorts.

I ended up going this route in the 16x16 size. Perfectly covers the lid of the console. I never could get all the creases out of that cover and it just fit too loose. Plus, I spill ALL THE TIME, something to wipe up after myself is nice.

You guys burning your arm on the badge need to learn to park in the back of the parking lot, in the shade. LOL. (I have a '21 Powerwagon with a badge and never an issue)

Alcantara is easy to clean and looks new afterwards.

I have never been burned by the badge and I live in Texas. I believe when you grab the handle of a hot cast iron pan, your brain is supposed to tell you not to do that again.

Only reason I covered mine was because I had a few people in my truck and their dry ass skin was left behind on the alcantara and that’s nasty as f. Also because my 5lb dog likes to sit on the center console and when she gets groomed her nails are like little razors, she scratches my last ram’s console and it was rubber.

Bingo, Llumar IRX 50 on the sunroof and rears, IRX 25 on the Driver/Pass windows and a Covercraft custom sunshade and I've never burned my arm.

It matches the interior reasonably well and feels great to rest your arm on. However, you've always got a nice seat cushion with you, which I've found I use way more than I originally anticipated.

I sit on one like that in my 97 dodge dually .....like I said on another post a dollar store dishcloth works fine
