CONFIRM WITH YOUR DEALER AND FCA

I just got home and saw this so tried the same thing, I also talked to Maurice. He told me that mine is also "accepted in the system and within my name." He said he couldn't give me any status details tho. I asked him if he could tell me if I'd been moved from "D" to "D1" yet:

"In this case I can advise to continue working with your selling dealership for updates, as our dealership locations are the ones providing the updates for the RAM TRX orders. I do apologize that we do not handle the RAM TRX Orders at customer care."

So it's good to know that my truck is 'within my name' at least. How that relates to when my truck will be 'within my garage," however, is still completely unclear.
I’m surprised y’all are getting anything out of FCA chat. No matter what question I ask the response is always “ please contact your dealer for information”

Did you get a POC originally that showed as a sold order with your name on it?
I was sent one with my name and address on it... obviously meant nothing. Probably photoshop lol. Honestly I’m not sure it’s even the dealer or an incompetent sales person. I don’t know what really happened.

"PS. forum member identified and friendly. "

Are you and the other forum member going to try and get this worked out?
Luckily they came to me... if the truck gets built tomorrow, I may not be so lucky... last I heard was a sales manager say “don’t worry, He will get the truck” to the person that couldn’t convince him to take my call haha

Great closing to your post! :ROFLMAO:

I asked for the Vin number and the chat provided it

AGAIN, CONFIRM WITH FCA, NOT YOUR DEALER.

cant say if the supposed second depositor reneged and is not giving back the truck that i deposited on first..

but dealer says im out...they can place a new order for a TRX to my liking...lol for delivery in 2022 or later probably hahahaha

VIN 1638 is no longer mine, and i hope @Kaiser is doing the right thing. Again, dealer told me he called @Kaiser and he said he still wants it.

my deposit was October and this new onw was Janurary....

SO @Kaiser did they actually call you? or is that BS too.
or are you going against our agreement to step down?

If its not already that should be criminal. Sounds like a forum full of TRX enthusiasts should voice their opinions of the dealership for doing that...... what dealer is screwing you?

well @Kaiser is a mensch and otherwise the dealer got smart.
they called me back after i assume the fellow forum member called them to rescind the deposit.

so i will check with FCA every single day to confirm until they have my name...
is there a chance trucks dont go into production even with a vin if theres no name attached?

if it hasn't been built by the time they switch from making 2021s to 2022s then the VIN will get canceled, but if they assign a VIN they have every intention of building the truck at some point

This all stinks. The dealer needs to be outed...

While it was not an ordered car such as this, I was trying to locate a specific optioned Porsche a few years ago and started talking to two different dealers in two different states. I gave them the specs I was looking for and two days later, they both emailed my a printed build sheet with the same VIN and their respective dealer names on it. I immediately called both dealers and both claimed that exact vehicle was sitting on their lot... again, in two different states. It took me for than a day to figure out which one was telling the truth. It was frustrating. I will never do business with the other dealer that lied to me.

After the fact, I determined they likely used Adobe to change the text on the build sheet and that it was really easy to do. I question just about everything any dealer sends me now a days.

That really blows. It was my concern a while back until I actually got a VIN. But I've got good report with my dealer so I don't expect this to happen.

Good luck to you for sure.
