Compustar/Drone - Remote Start Issue

Who else is having an issue with their remote start?

I have an issue where the compustar/drone remote start command is received, but it doesn't successfully start the engine. It will crank and stop. The drone app will send a notification to my phone stating that it successfully remote started (but it is not true).

I have a ticket with compustar/drone/firstech. They verified that there are a few TRX's with this issue but their software team has not found the bug yet.

It's happening to both DC3 and CMX controllers. Have not verified if anybody with a DCX controller is having an issue.

I’ve had IGLA on my 22 since new and have had the same issue with the app on my phone. It won’t start the truck but would tell me that the truck is on. My remote start only works with the key fob.

Sorry I can't help but I have zero issues with igla, compustar and drone. Can remote start with compustar fob or drone app on phone.

I bought it used with compustar installed by a previous installer (in a different state).

My IGLA installer chimed in and (he's also a compustar installer, he installed compustar on a different vehicle of mine) put a ticket in with drone/compustar/firstech. He said on the installer forum this is a (new) known issue with 3 TRX's.

Everything was working great for 1.5 years. When it was working I could

• remote start with T13 fob
• remote start with R5 fob
• remote start with drone app

I can no longer remote start with the above. This remote start issue is new.

I just tried it with my 24, and it started right up. I am on Android, and there was just an app update yesterday, you check that?

Sucks for sure - I am having some stuff installed next week so I can ask my installer for some feedback and report back to you/this thread.

I will randomly have issues where drone or compustar remote says my truck is unlocked, but the doors are locked.
I have to press unlock a second time before the doors lock actually cycles.

But the app will show “unlocked”

I wonder if it’s the same thing. I rarely use the remote start. I’ll try that next time to see if it works.
