Chinese typically don't invent - the aquire, reverse enginieer, and use slave labor and cheaper materials to make a cheaper version. This is pretty universally known. That said, if they work for you, great!

I dont disagree i meant rough country gave them a design to make and didnt care to protect it just to save money

Understood. No worries - interesting to see how these last. Too bad you can't put them through a true winter. It would be a great test.

I bought a set from them 2 years ago for my Jeep Rubicon. Have had zero issues.

Any real winter action? That is really the test with powersteps. Cold, snow, slush, freezing, salt, etc.
