Trying to figure out if they updated the new version to fix some of the issues that you had to use the tazer to fix in my 24 trx. a few quick question:
Do the side mirrors automatically fold in when you lock the car?
Does the truck still do that stupid double honk if you leave the truck running and take the keys out of the truck?
Do the orange hood lights stay on all the time or just while driving?
And finally, does the truck stay in whichever drive mode you left it in when you turn the car off and start it back up? Or does it go back to the default mode?
Thanks and apologize if these have been asked already. I did a quick search but didn’t see anything.

I am still waiting to take delivery of my 27 TRX but I got an RHO right now and since TRX is based on same updated electrical architecture Atlantis that came out with RHO in 2025, I think I can answer your questions -

1. Yes, side view mirrors fold automatically when you lock the truck. Caveat - don’t manually open the mirrors when you get in truck before turning ignition on - otherwise for that drive cycle, mirrors will not fold in when you lock (since you manually opened them to begin with) - maybe this is addressed in 2027, not sure but in short answer is yes.
2. Yes for stupid double honk
3. Orange hood marker lights are not on in “day” mode, only “night” mode. But when they are on, they stay on whole time truck is “switched on” whether driving or parked. Note I mentioned day/night “mode” - nothing to do with if there is daylight outside - just scroll the headlight wheel and “turn on” at least the parking lights if not full headlights - then you can get orange marker lights to remain “on” during the day if you want. If you leave headlights in “auto” mode, then hood lights will only turn on in the evening.
4. Stock truck resets back to auto after every drive cycle, there is no memory function. Synapse DT from Z automotive enables “orange” daytime running lamps instead of white and reconfigures system to “remember” last drive mode picked.

Hope that helps.

As someone that’s had a lot of cars and rented even more for work trips- I can’t recall a single one that stays in a drive mode other than the default after turning the car off.

You are correct. I was thinking my 911 did it but now that I think about it, I do have to turn the dial. It’s just so easy since it’s on the steering wheel. With my TRX, I have to scroll through the modes and then with the custom modes…it seems to not work sometimes with changing the suspension. But maybe that’s just me not doing it right. I had the lazer dt on it and it kept it in the same mode all the time, but started having a few issues with connecting CarPlay. Hopefully things have smoothed out.

I suspect the issue is that your truck has a colostomy mode.
