Best intake that brings out blower sound and doesnt negativity effect water fording depth?

Its nice but im really digging that red one. The orange is nice also. I think red would look cooler with the granite truck though.
The red (Momentum GT) was their first intake design for the TRX. Instead of one big filter and a single elbow (like the Magnum Force, K&N or S&B), it has two smaller filters, two elbows and a T-pipe connecting them. As you can imagine that is a LOT of extra couplings and clamps to potentially loosen and fail at some point. The single filter intakes are much more elegant and quicker to install too. Which does matter when you need to pull it all off to service other parts of the engine.

Besides…you DO have orange valve covers…

Ahhh good points so the orange intake is actually a newer version of the red one? And had a better design with less potential fail parts? If thats the case yea I'd go with that one.

Appreciate the help man!

Now you just need a transparent hood.
Did you sell the chinese on this!

Yeah, the Momentum came out first (originally just in black). I suspect they didn’t have any filters big enough to do a single design but wanted to be first to market. So that dual filter design is what they had to run with.

Eventually the AFE Magnum came out, basically copying what S&B did with a single bigger filter. A concession of sorts. But from an engineering perspective it’s the better way.

Very cool. Ill probably order the orange Magnum from a forum vendor over the next month. Thanks again !

I have the momentum gt not in orange or red (not my jam) i don't think it changed the water depth and it uses the intake above the radiator and the hood. Sounds good. No notable power gain

I’ve had 3 different ones on this truck (AFE Super Stock, S&B and now the AFE Magnum Force).

Super Stock maintains all the stock intake parts, it’s just a replacement tube that removes the intake resonator and increases sound a bit.

S&B is great quality but sounds relatively tame with the lid on. It’s also huge and dominates the whole engine compartment.

Magnum Force is a quite a bit narrower so you can actually see some of the engine. It screams. Plus it’s orange. Definitely my favorite of the bunch.View attachment 149568View attachment 149569
I would say any of the 3 are perfectly safe as far as water fording. The only ones I’d have concerns with are the Bwoody-type filters on a stick and even they are pretty damn high up in the engine compartment.
Which is louder super stock or s&b?
