Anyone make a better engine oil cooler?

Check you oil temp next time you’re offroading and i can bet you see 230-240 depending on conditions.

As a PSA, im reverting to stock oil cooler location for this bumper install. I sprayed simple green on both sides and flushed the cooler out but still didnt do justice. Then Used coil cleaner and a special coil bristle and got a TON of dirt/debris out of the cooler. I bet she flows like a dream now. Dam thing is too small to be all gummed up lol.
I was running in the 180's last trip and it was in the 90 degrees range outside, my gauged is probably broken.

In college I had a 240sx that kept throwing a CIL. I covered it with black electric tape and never had a problem again. I am not opposed to doing it again.;)

I should have cleaned mine when I had it out.

Do you think the relocation requirements that you have with the SF and winch kit helps? I swear mine runs a lot lower now.
Mine runs pretty low too… I just can’t empty the cooler 😂😭

Thanks for posting this @Fifty

From working within motorsports and aftermarket performance development, PWR makes fantastic cores.

Often shedding weight on the nose while increasing cooling efficiency!

If ambient is above 80F my oil creeps past 200 and lives around 210 daily driving (city).

Thin air up here in CO

You have some pull… tell them to make one and send it to me to play with….
:)

Just got the first payment bill for the kids school…. Starting in august.
Toy time out for me lol

Sadly they both look nothing like their mother

Wishing their was an option for this now, got a leak on my stock cooler from drain bolt being tq’d too tight.

If anybody wanted to send me their old one, I can make a jig and weld up a better cooler using a good core

I need to put all that Tig aluminum certs from school to use lol.
it’s easy enough.

Just a thicker and more efficient core that fits in the stock spot.

I have my recently replaced one, unfortunately. Damn drain plug.

Everyone should install a Valvomax on their coolers. I only removed mine once and now just use that instead.

I'm missing something here.

If the threads are indeed damaged from over tightening, teflon tape or thread sealer should work. But I suspect that the problem is not from over tightening, but from not supporting the cooler while removing or installing the plug.

Yes it was on too tight, and couldnt get a good grip slipped, and squished plate n fins on one corner.

Found a new one cost me $350, easy to install, and will probably go with a quick drain plug mentioned above.

Where are you? I might be interested in your damaged cooler to see if I can weld up a larger cooler that fits in the oem mounts.

Is PWR the only option for a cooler? I thought about ordering a universal cooler and making my own lines.
