Amp Research Power Steps from a 2024 TRX put on a 2027 TRX

Traded my 24 for a new 2027 TRX… I had Amp Research power steps on the 24 and wanted to used them on the 27… I called A.R. And was told they will work but needed to replace the wiring harness, control module, and OBD connector… I then talked to Realtruck and they told me the same thing along with the same part numbers… ordered the replacement parts and today am installing…

Everything electrical is in place and ready to install the mechanical side… and found that the connector on the harness will not plug into the motor from the steps from my 24…

Has anyone else tried this and if so did you have the same issue… I thought about just cutting the 2 motor wires and switching the ends… but the wiring on the new harness is a much smaller gauge… so not sure what to do… plus will ruin any chance of returning…

The original step part number for the whole kit is 76201-01A and the new harness part number is AMP-19-04725-97L

UPDATE... It's Saturday and not going to wait till Monday for either AMP Research or Realtruck to get back to me... I have an electronics background so I looked and the motors for the steps are 12 vdc... as expected. I put a voltmeter on the new plus and verified that positive 12 vdc is what lowers the step and then polarity reverses and negative 12 vdc is what raises the steps... I decided to cut off the new connector plugs and replace them with the ones from my old wiring harness... the colors of the wires are white and orange and they match on both plugs... soldered white to white and orange to orange... steps work just fine... hope this helps someone else down the road... Thanks
