Pull the filter, wash and re-oil from time to time. I’ll just do mine every oil change when also draining the catch can. What does the maintenance on cloth involve? How much time?

Just how they direct airflow into the box in a way that let's some larger particles settle out before drawing through the filters, how it deals with water, filter surface area, supposed lack of performance degradation over time, and obviously how it's 4x better than a raptor lol. Also thanks on the dry vs oiledWhat fancy anti dust stuff? First I have heard of it lol.
I have the S&B in AZ. Filter choice really comes down to your preference on maintenance. Dry is less maintenance but replace twice as often. Oil lasts twice as long but need to pull and clean.
AFE and S&B kept all these features but improved them.Just how they direct airflow into the box in a way that let's some larger particles settle out before drawing through the filters, how it deals with water, filter surface area, supposed lack of performance degradation over time, and obviously how it's 4x better than a raptor lol. Here's a clip from one of their media releases:
Ok so installed the Momentum GT, removed super stock. I have to be honest, big difference. It’s probably cause I have the incognito pulley, but I noticed it was able to pull 13 psi continuously instead of bouncing on and off it. Blower Noise level is slightly higher but not much, which is fine for me. I don’t like how the main airbox connects to the plastic shroud in front of the engine bay, there’s a small gap hot engine air can get in. May get a small weather strip to cover that area. Overall happy with the change over, but that doesn’t mean I disliked the Super Stock. For what it is, it’s great for stock trucks. However, I think if you’re asking for more boost, you need less intake restriction.Any issues with warrantys being voided due to the intakes being replaced. I have a Afe super stock and want to avoid any issues down the road. I would like a comparison on those two intakes. I’ve been thinking about ordering the momentum.

Do people really say "Zona?"
I was wondering about this as well as I cant imagine they're both as good as factory when they're #1 priority was maximizing airflow/hp. Either way I believe they're both equipped with a drain nipple for water exit and have some (albeit smaller) baffles built into the bottom of the airbox.Anyone look at water drain or dust/dirt capability between the two for those off-roading?
Did you order the momentum months ago or find someone with it actually in stock? Been searching around for one since the one I ordered apparently isn't set to show up until OctoberI went with AFe and I love it. Whine is definitely more noticeable over stock but not to crazy like I’m assuming bwoody may be. Inwas using AFe drop in 5R pro filter before switching to their whole system and even with just the drop in filter, I noticed more whine, however, this momentum GT system amplifies that whine even more. Like someone mentioned above, I don’t think you can go wrong with either choice. Also, the way I look at it is, the S&B has one huge filter and the AFe has two huge filters. If you were to add both AFe filters together, I’d bet the equal the same length and size as the 1 S&B
Found someone with it in stock through the FB groups. Ordered with Nick from K&N Speed Factory. he posted that they had a few extras in hand and I claimed one. Had it in my possession a week later. Install took about 45mins for me. Was surprised how big the filters are. Btw, this all occurred at the beginning of this month.Did you order the momentum months ago or find someone with it actually in stock? ThisI love my S&B. My buddy has an AFE and loves his. Either way, both are great manufacturers. You can’t go wrong.
Oil is better and it depends on your environment. Could be 5000 miles could be 50000 milesSo what is better? Dry or Oil? How much maintenance is the oil?
i dont plan on off-roading at all either - i live in Ohio.Oil is better and it depends on your environment. Could be 5000 miles could be 50000 miles
