That is true unless the dealer offers me 85k...which I could see them doing. That is the dilemma. If I can sell it for more than the tax will cost on the new car(lets say 5500 bucks give or take), then it's worth it. Especially if I'm selling to a dealer or CarMax and there is no risk.The tax credit alone is worth trading it in to the dealer.
Auto trader or even car max are sneaky good options. If OP has time I’d shop around as many places as you can if they don’t go private route.I just sold my 2018 Raptor to those guys
