800 miles towing 7k lb boat

Towed my boat from NC to FL.
Boat and trailer weighted around 7000lbs.
Did not use a WDH but I will next time.
Lots of bouncing and generally uncomfortable push/pull on the truck.
Keep it around 65 MPH
Averaged 8.6 MPG
Overall it was fine but I’m looking for improvement before next time. Hoping the WDH helps as many here have suggested.
( thought about buying an ecodiesel or 2500 but I love my TRX too much )

Sweet Regulator! I have a 22’ Pathfinder bay boat it’s around 5,000# I have yet to pull it with the TRX (Got my TRX yesterday) I am keeping my fingers crossed that it goes well. I have been worried it might squat to much.

+1 quality WDH, and towing with a low fuel tank can shed some pounds. Good luck....
