Bummer, I wonder why not?
There’s a good reason the power boards are not a factory option on TRX.

TRX is meant to go off-road, into dusty/dirty environments. The highline trucks with factory option power boards are more “street oriented”.

My power boards started to make grinding/crunchy noises after my 1st extended off-road adventure. Upon further investigation, the linkage that allows these boards to drop & extend outward is slightly complex & utilizes no fewer than 32 pivot points that are not sealed & lubed with grease, plus another 8 places where the actuator rod passes into & out of the hinges.

Sooooo, after every off-road adventure, I had to lay under the boards to clean & re-lube 40 potential wear points.

If your TRX is a pavement princess, get the power boards installed by your dealer & enjoy. They are super convenient & protect your truck from door dings if left deployed when parked. If not driven off-road, they only require annual maintenance.

I’ve had them on all my 2500’s, never thought about leaving them down in a parking lot. Exactly how do you go about that?

If you have the Mopar boards, you can deploy them in UConnect. You can also step on them when they start to retract and they will stay down.
