Order guides should hit soon if they truly intend to take orders in April and produce in August.
There’s a good reason the power boards are not a factory option on TRX.Bummer, I wonder why not?
I’ve had them on all my 2500’s, never thought about leaving them down in a parking lot. Exactly how do you go about that? There’s a good reason the power boards are not a factory option on TRX.
TRX is meant to go off-road, into dusty/dirty environments. The highline trucks with factory option power boards are more “street oriented”.
My power boards started to make grinding/crunchy noises after my 1st extended off-road adventure. Upon further investigation, the linkage that allows these boards to drop & extend outward is slightly complex & utilizes no fewer than 32 pivot points that are not sealed & lubed with grease, plus another 8 places where the actuator rod passes into & out of the hinges.
Sooooo, after every off-road adventure, I had to lay under the boards to clean & re-lube 40 potential wear points.
If your TRX is a pavement princess, get the power boards installed by your dealer & enjoy. They are super convenient & protect your truck from door dings if left deployed when parked. If not driven off-road, they only require annual maintenance.
