Gathering the masses' thoughts, opinions, and suggestions. Nobody be Richard. I'm not starting a religion, I'm taking a poll.
Background, delivered at a third-grade reading level because breakfast was a blue crayon and a red crayon. Balanced meal. That's a protein and a vegetable where I come from. Blue for the Men's Department of the Navy, red for the part of my brain that makes financial decisions.
I was one of the first to order a '27 TRX. That truck is in production right now, ship date 12NOV2026, which was 12OCT a week or so ago. So the date is less of a commitment and more of a vibe. In my old line of work we called a one-month slip to the right "Tuesday."
Then the Bloodshot Night Edition dropped, and I need everyone to understand why this matters to me: Ram has, without realizing it, built a $119,000 crayon. Blacktop upper, red stripe down the hood. That is not a paint code, gentlemen, that is a flavor. My impulse control, which has never once shown up for formation, took the wheel. Talked to my dealer, "placed an order" 20AUG2026 against their next allocation. I have a VON.
Here's where @Eighty walked over and gently removed the crayon from my hand. And you all know that's how I knew it was serious, because we do not do that to each other lightly. His point: a VON is not an allocation. It's not real until there's a VIN, and a VIN may be a while, because they're likely pushing the "regular" TRXs out first, which is a hell of a phrase, by the way. Regular TRX. Like saying regular hand grenade.
So I'm standing here holding a confirmed bird in the hand while staring at a much prettier bird in the bush wearing a red hood stripe. I want the BNE. That's not in question. What IS in question is whether I'll ever actually get one, and I already have a verified TRX with a build slot, and I want a '27 TRX.
What I'm asking, and feel free to answer in crayon, I'll comprehend it better and I can eat the evidence afterward:
- Any insight on when they may start producing BNEs in volume?
- Realistically, what are the odds a 20AUG order against a future allocation actually lands one? If the answer involves percentages, round to the nearest crayon.
- Is there anything I should be doing right now to improve those odds?
- I'll do any legwork required. Point me at it. I've been professionally trained to walk toward the thing everyone else is walking away from.
Good intel gets a Burnt Sienna. That's the good stuff. I don't offer that lightly.
Standing by, well-fed, and mildly waxy.
Your friendly neighborhood Jarhead.
