ohh well 1 accident on carfax is not a clean title anymore. Doesnt matter how minor was the accident you chose to make a claim . Bad move..You couldve had it handled by a shop that would not report it, and not use insurance for a silly claim that will definitely hurt the value . Also, adding what you paid for labor to install your mods is cringe.

Thanks for your opinion

I wish mods of any kind were looked at by prospective buyers, dealerships or private parties or whomever, as something that increases value.... but alas, I have been told by several that they can actually hurt market value.... several years ago I went to Carmax to see what I would get out of my F350 and they said the $6000 I spent on wheels, tires, leveling kit, and Hypertech module knocked a few grand off what it would be if it were stock...

their explanation is that mods are for you... not the next owner.... and people may not want to modify the way you did...

Unfortunate but it's the correct thing to do so they move cars and trucks quicker off the lot. I mod based on what I want and if I sell then I list it for a what a stock vehicle is worth. It's always a loss when you mod, but I don't care I enjoy it all the same.

Beautiful truck and nice mod list. Your plate is great! I hope you get what you want for it 🙌

That is the normal dealer verbiage…. From having worked at a dealer… they will tear you apart for modifying then list it as desirable things as soon as it’s on the lot (assuming it was done well and not junk)

One line I took from working there, how can you tell when a salesperson is lying? It’s whenever there lips are moving.

correct... I was speaking strictly from a selling/trading to a dealer perspective.... not giving you enough $$ because of the mods... when buying something used, they use all those mods as reasons to charge more $$...

what a crazy racket the used vehicle game is...
