Every hemi i have owned (392 and Hellcat) i have done 500,1500,3000,5000 intervals.......and then every 2500-3000 thereafter depending upon how heavy my foot was that interval period. None of the engines have ever burned a drop of oil per what i monitor on the dip stick
One extremely important thing i would recommend that is not talked about enough is during break in, you don't want to beat the shit out of it out the box but its not good to baby the engine either. you really need to thread the needle and make sure you are also working the rpm band during those first 500 miles to really make sure the piston rings are set in well......by no means red line the car but you def should get some harder accelerations in there up to 4500-5500rpm as well.
