2027 TRX Engine Oil Spec Seems To Be A Mis-Print

[HighHP]

@RamCares
The 2027 TRX owners manual says to use 0W-40 engine oil meeting MS-6395 spec. This spec is a Chrysler spec for other lower performance engines with lower weight oils. Chrysler has always used a higher spec MS-A0921 (replaced MS-12633) for the Hellcat engine, which is a 0W-40 Oil.
Can you confirm which spec should be used in the 2027 TRX Hellcat engine???

Are you trying to confirm this because a dealer is attempting to put the cheaper oil in, or worried if you use better oil than recommended that ram will void warranty?

Other than that why would you not just use the better oil and be done with it?
Or use whatever spec has been recommended in HC and redeyes for years.
If this was 2015 I could see the confusion but this engine is over a decade old at this point.

I thnk they just use whatever 0-40 they have in the stop for the 6.2

Yes, 0W-40 if you're lucky. One dealer supposedly used 0W-30 because "That's what we use in everything".

Interesting that people do not look for the best oil available vs "dealer oil". Interesting.
