I am in the same boat, ordered in June though. My assumption is they ordered without having an allocation, and when they received an allocation your order was then processed.

Would love to hear if others have an opinion on this situation.

587389 is a pretty high serial number for an early July order. My guess is your dealer didn’t actually have an allocation, and only recently received one (which then allowed a VIN assignment).
Don’t get caught up on serial numbers and build orders. It’s not a thing - they build whatever they want in the whole list on any given day.

They , Dealer had 4 Allocation Mine was second and the order was accepted and listed as A sold order?

The dealer I used had 2 allocations but neither of us are on the tracker. The other guy I ordered with got a new VIN from the dealer....shady stuff

I hear you, but there were also 11 TRX’s built yesterday in the 551 group (those were June orders). Serial numbers don’t really mean anything for build order. There are actually trucks from yesterday as high as the 612 group. So 61,000 orders apart from each other - built on the same day.

Why do you think that is? My guess is that RAM assigns VINs as orders are received, but the actual build sequence also depends on whether the order is tied to a dealer with an allocation.

So, for example, RAM could initially assign VINs in numerical order, but when production scheduling begins, orders associated with dealers that have allocations move forward. If a VIN is tied to a dealer without an allocation, that order gets skipped until an allocation becomes available.

Ram is Ram. No other explanation. I ordered my Launch Edition the first hour orders opened. Was assigned VIN 000073. Didn't receive it until February.

It’s just the way they operate. It’s not a TRX thing, it’s true for all the trucks coming from SHAP. I had the same complaints about a Rebel I ordered in May 2021 (one of the first MY22 orders). By December I gave up and took an inbound TRX. I had been texting my dealer every few days whining about why trucks ordered months after me were getting built and mine wasn’t.
There’s a general flow of builds, but it caps out in the 60-70% range on the initial pass (by group), and the rest just get built whenever they want. For MY26, some of the first orders didn’t get built until they were wrapping up.

Bro you’re gonna have to chill. Ram builds whatever the fuck they want, whenever the fuck they want, in whatever random fucking order they choose on any given day. I ordered in Feb 2022 and it was delivered in September of that year. And that’s when they were cranking them out. So settle in, potentially lol

Unfortunately I disagree in this day of automation. They do not have a monkey selecting which VINs to build, there is an algorithm doing this. Maybe it was programed to 80% Black trucks, maybe every other VIN, but there is a rhyme that someone knows.

Algorithm is the problem! When you remove or limit the human element there is no soul. Machine don't care just runs the program. When you let it choose by itself, the way most companies are running it these days shit gets bad fast. These are glorified guessing machines not super intelligence. That's not to say good things can't come from some automation just that usually people get fucked over in the process. Hope your build gets going soon. Welcome to the future isn't it wonderful!

Completely get the machine can go off rails, shit happens, and companies do not care about the end buyer, that's why they use dealerships to shield them.

So now that I'm back at my computer, I wanted to follow up my statements with some data. @Straight Arrow - you have a VIN in the 587 group. That group first appeared on 8/14 (so assignments probably started on 8/13 or 8/14 in that group). On that date, here's where the totals stood (by group). Keep in mind that a "completed" group would be 1000.

Fast forward to 9/29 (the last date for which I have full output data). VINs from the 603 thru 612 group just dumped in earlier this week. And boom, they've already built hundreds of them. But there are still unbuilt trucks in the 550 group.

It is all about allocations AND having everything available parts wise before Ram hard schedules your order for build. If you have a VIN it will just be in the long line to be built. My order was put in by the Dealer when the books opened and was built on 8-10 it then sat in storage for over a month then a couple of weeks to get here. Delivered on 9-25. Fretting or complaining to the Dealer will not change anything unfortunately as mentioned above Ram builds while marching to a production system set up for maximum efficiency and PROFIT!

As you can imagine while mine was showing in storage my mind was running wild thinking of some kind of major issue that was keeping it there. Who knows maybe there was an issue nobody knows.

When you say sitting in storage do you mean after window sticker was issued?

If not, how long did it take from window sticker to delivered?
