I ordered my TRX on 6/29 and it finally got built today. Thank you @Eighty !!!

Back to my discount ramble. While waiting for this TRX I went to a few (3-4 not in my dealers auto group) local ram dealers to try some 2026 RHOs just for fun. The best discount I could negotiate under the guise of wanting to buy it was about 5k off. I even showed them mark dodge discount thread and they laughed saying NY dealers will never do anything close to that.

These dealers also all wanted over msrp for a new TRX. Obviously I didn’t try negotiating an RHO at my ordering dealer where I got MSRP with no fees (normally 1k in fees- as advertised on their website).

I don’t see TRXs being heavily discounted like the RHO even my mark dodge. They are just too popular right now and dealers only getting a few this year. They will probably be made to order starting 2027 calendar year tho, but those also don’t have huge discounts since there’s no incentive for dealer to free up lot space and unload interest on a loan.

Ive gotten discounts on both trucks ive owned, first one i ordered end of 21 but showed up mid 22 when the msrp had gone up by 6k or so, so the 7500 off i was offered really turned into a almost $12K off, the second one i was given $4,500 off and i will most likely get a discount on this one due to repeated business. Performance CDJR in Delaware ohio have been awesome people to work with, very seamless transactions and i fly from New Mexico to pick them up, they give me a 45 min ride from the airport and I start driving as soon as I make it to the dealer

Ask for Brad Snyder - awesome dude! Tell him Alex had great things to say, im sure they will treat you well.

Ps he did say they didn't have any more allocations for this year but that might change given they already made all the trucks they said they would make

I mean yeah the act of dialing a phone is simple, but the whole process of talking to someone who can make a pricing decision is cumbersome and more than a dozen times I was told one thing only to get called by a GM who said what I told was wrong and that there is an ADM.

No doubt. That's why many of us are waiting. We can pay MSRP later if that is what it will take. We just don't think anything will change all that much from the last round. Maybe we only get 5k off? Who knows...but I can always pay sticker if I prefer that route.

NY is such a weird market. There’s 20 cdjr dealers within 50 miles of each other and they don’t care to compete. You would think having that many dealers would drive prices down.

Nope- they want close to msrp for an RHO and would treat 3k off as them going out of business.

With the price of fuel and tanking economy they should be thankful someone is coming in and dropping 100k+ on a TRX.

NY is trash. I had to go to PA get to get MSRP.

NY is such a weird market. There’s 20 cdjr dealers within 50 miles of each other and they don’t care to compete. You would think having that many dealers would drive prices down.

Nope- they want close to msrp for an RHO and would treat 3k off as them going out of business.

With the price of fuel and tanking economy they should be thankful someone is coming in and dropping 100k+ on a TRX.

Exactly. Back in 09 my father got his ram sport for like 28k whenever sticker was 40k. Different times but still.
