2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170: A Wicked Quick, 1,025-HP Hell Yeah!

Don't get me wrong, this is bananas cool, but I would still pick my modified TRX over the Deamon 170 only because I could only afford one or the other, lol. Also, the Demon 170 wouldn't be a daily driver, especially in Colorado. It would be fun to cruise in and take to the track though.

We were allocated one and our owner is going to keep it for himself unless you shoot me an offer he can't refuse!
[email protected] :)
lol If I had a a $1 for every dealer that told me that, I'd be able to make an offer he couldn't resist. :ROFLMAO:

MARK DODGE will be at MSRP +$444 DOC Fee. Problem is, MSRP is not lockable with price protection, but whatever the sticker is upon our delivery, that's what the buyer will pay. All that warm and fuzzy, but all the allocation is already spoken for as of 9am central time today. We do have a list going for more people waiting, in case there are people who are allocated that end up not coming through - but full honesty its already a very long list.

I’d be more impressed with a 900hp pump gas version finding its way into a TRX!

I appreciate what Dodge did with this car, but it’s something I’d never have interest in, even if the car was something I could afford. I’d love to take a ride down the drag strip once, but then I’d be good.
Ok- maybe two trips down the drag strip...

Thanks for putting me on the list Anthony (y)

Same line of thinking here. The TRX can be used as a daily driver/off roader with the extra power where as the demon likely will not be a daily driver for most people that are getting it. Still cool what they've done with it but we need that power plant in the TRX. :)

Man, what a double edged sword. The Demon 170 is such a badass production car and then to think….this is the end.

Called a few places today and one place local to me is 61k+ ADM at the moment (they are basically doing an auction that will close at EOB).

Anybody going to try and get one???
YES. On the phone with the GM at my local Dodge dealership yesterday.
He is efforting the allocation number and the ADM on the 170.

Dodge is pissing me off with these allocations. It's like they intended to give most dealers one Demon allocation for either the dealership owners or for them to auction off to the highest bidder.

I already had 2 tell me they doing auctions...
now you feel my pain of how difficult to get a trx in Canada lol....the allocation BS is such trash!

I saw this in the press release but doesn't look like it will actually work. MSRP will get it first and over msrp orders will get built after.

Guess its up to 3000 and up to 300 but they only released 2500 to dealers last night and left a buffer window

Well, if there are any more dealers looking in this thread, PM me. I'd happily buy one at MSRP as long as we can lock it in!

Maybe that’s just it. Dodge is probably making this a gift to the dealers rather than a parting gift to the gear head.

I called around 50 dealers within 100 miles proximity and prices are all over the place. Found a handful that actually sold their allocation for MSRP (most were repeat buyers with an obvious relationship with dealer). The cheapest I found was $50k and the most was about $150k over msrp. The dealerships with >1 allocation seem to be asking the higher ADM.

This was all based on a quick 2-5 min discussion. I want one!

Fun car. Surprised they didn’t use the 421? Nice that they offer it in so many colors. I’d love to own one but would never drive it. Will keep waiting for a hotter TRX.
