2022 TRX For Sale Level 2

I set the reserve on the BAT listing application at 80,000. BAT wanted it at 75,000. After. going back and forth, I told them my lowest is 79,000.
A thing worse than selling the TRX at 79000 is not selling it and watching the prices continue to fall and take less later. The market for new and used vehicles has been in slow decline over at least the last six months. I was surprised it did not go over 79,000. I had provided plenty of marketing so plenty of TRX people knew about it. It had a large amount of views and watchers on BAT. It appears the market simply is not there like it used to be.

I think we can all agree someone got a good deal on your truck! But to your point, the market is in an interesting point right now. Back in April, your truck was going for low 90s wholesale:

I have noticed over the past couple of weeks that Koons and Dan Cummings have cut prices on some of their TRX ADMs. It doesn’t seem like those units are flying off of lots despite there being less than 400 new units available nationwide. Moreover, the order banks have been closed for 6-7 months and the 24 MY has a lot of uncertainty. So I wonder how prices will fair with the hellcat being discontinued?

I thought that the MY 2024 uncertainty would drive the price higher. Apparently not. I have not seen anybody sharing their TRX (actual not offered) sale or trade-in price for quite awhile. Use to see it all the time. That tells me that people are not proud of their sale/trade price. Dealer lots are filling up with vehicles.

I was watching your sale intently and I am sad at the sale price of $79k. I got a great trade offer on mine ($89k) and am waiting for the new truck to be ready. I keep waiting for the market to turn back up based on the FY24 confusion but I dont think that is going to happen for a while if at all.

Including the sales tax benefit in MD (6%) I would have to sell privately for almost $94k to break even vs a trade.

Yeah, should have done better, but the market spoke.
A lot of things influence trade-in:
- Price paid vs MSRP on new vehicle, higher price paid, higher trade offer.
- Offer timing, today vs in the past
- Actual trade-in price vs offered trade-in price.
