I gotta say, the color is kind of unimpressive from actual photo/video footage. Looks like a light brown. Maybe it's just the lighting.I spy 2 fresh Sandblast...

What makes you think that?I believe this was originally intended to be a ‘23 edition. Releasing it now could mean the ‘23 will be a different configuration.
A lot is changing around us quickly. Primary, inflation pressure, gas prices, Raptor R horsepower war. We’ll see but it seems like a late model year special edition that was pulled up.What makes you think that?
Makes sense. The only thing that makes me think it was always going to be a '22 is the "Order Confirmed" and "Order Processed" info on the Ram Tracker. I "ordered" on on 6/16. I was shocked when the dealer called on 6/18 and said it was built pending inspection. I thought "built one day after my order date? No F'ing way! TRX Forum record!" However, my truck showed up today on the Ram tracker. It shows a Feb 1 order date and "in production" two days before I "ordered." Since these are all allocation - my guess is the dealers had to claim their allocation 4-5 months ago, and my name got assigned to the order on 6/16. The Feb "order processed" date make me think it was allways going to be a '22. Speculation only.A lot is changing around us quickly. Primary, inflation pressure, gas prices, Raptor R horsepower war. Got a text this morning from the dealership informing me they have one allocation for the Sandblast and asked if I would be interested. After some back and forth, I decided not to order a MY23 Flame Red. Now I'm soon to be the proud owner of a Sandblast Edition.
The truck is currently sitting at the body vendor (assuming she's getting her graphics package put on). Is this the final stage of the build?
Got my VIN and should be getting the truck within the next 45 days delivered to my front door.
Looks like I'll be changing my username once it arrives.![]()
Thanks for the info! Didn't even think about spray liner, step, etc. I just became a little smarter tonight.![]()
Understanding Status Codes
What exactly is KZP status? I know it’s posted on this site as “with off-site shipping vendor” but does that mean it’s actually shipped, or just waiting to be shippedwww.ram-trx.com
I hate that every special edition comes with the sunroof.View attachment 43850
Yeah and BBB found us a window sticker. its just a color package with all the options. 9200 option and requires level 2. add any accessories and its 100k. Pics are conflicting as a few show the black two tone and others don't
lf your in D1 .... you have the first wave running at $100,080 msrp ... second wave they added the off-road running boards and trailer reverse steering control for a new msrp price of $101,770Lucked into one of these. I put in an order for a lvl2 Granite back in March. After months of no movement, I asked my dealer “WRF?” They came back yesterday with the news (from regional rep) my order will be scheduled to go D1 mid September. So I asked my sales weasel if they were getting an allotment for the Sandblast. He came back with “yeah for $20K over MSRP” Eff that! I decided to make a tour of other local dealers this morning and the first one I got to, Champion of Decatur, has one in D1 status. I ask them how much and they responded with “MSRP, why are people charging more?” I put $2k down on that baby right away! I’m not holding my breath that Landers-McLarty will refund my deposit, but I do plan on sitting down with their GM to educate him on his people. Bottom line, by LM being fucked up like a Polio covered football bat, I get to end up getting a Sandblast for MSRP. 4 months of frustration is now worth it!

Congratulations! This is awesome news! Happy for you, know how frustrated you were! I did the SAME thing. My October Chapman order is unbuilt. Regressed to D three times. I called a local dealer on 6/14 asking if they were getting any Sandblast. They said they were getting one. They called me 6/16 - put my name on it. No deposit at MSRP. It was built 6/20, shipped 6/21 and scheduled to arrive 7/15! -Butch
Doh! I wanted the running boards so my toddler can get in/out easier. I guess I will have to find some aftermarket.lf your in D1 .... you have the first wave running at $100,080 msrp ... second wave they added the off-road running boards and trailer reverse steering control for a new msrp price of $101,770
