Spoke to dealer, the surround camera kit for the TRX is 82216068AD.

Catch is there apparently are none available nationwide. They saw three in the system and upon calling other dealers all three were spoken for.

Nobody at the dealer was sure where the wiring harness on the truck sits, and the installation instructions for the camera don't mention anything truck-side.

My dealer told me its only for the 2500 & 3500 trucks. but who knows every says whatever it the easiest shit these days.

Yea, and this makes me think this isn’t the right part. My TRX has the attached in uconnect so at some point they were planning on a 4 camera system. I wonder if the 4 camera kit from the 2500/3500 is correct

No I don’t believe it is. We would have a plug at the rear bumper and I just have a seven pin round. Do you need the extra legs to carry the cameras. I would love it to be right but I definitely don’t think it is.

Maybe trailer surround will be an option in 2023.

I still don’t know what the Aux button controls, that would be enough for me. It has a different icon than the missing cargo camera.

For my 2021 TRX, when ordering the vehicIe from the dealer I optioned a factory only option called XFQ "Trailer camera wiring", they somehow messed up and the vehicle didn't get built with the ordered option. So I ended up looking up online how to add this option & getting the MOPAR retrofit kit which basically does the same as XFQ, "Dual Trailer Camera Vehicle Wiring Prep Kit 82216274AC", consists of a plug and play wiring kit and bracket with camera connector that fits below the rear bumper & all the way to the front to the Uconnect system. It comes with detailed installation instructions. The dealer has to add option XFQ to your VIN with the FCA Wi-Tech software, once this is done, the Uconnect Aux camera 1 & 2 are no longer greyed out & work as expected.

First up, I'm in Germany so I don't really have a dealer/parts department to talk to.
I purchased the 82216274AC Dual Trailer Camera Vehicle Wiring Prep Kit on my recent trip to California for my 2022 TRX optioned with Level2/1360 degree camera. I installed the wiring but did not find the plug under the left side dash to plug it into.
Can anyone point me to what I'm missing and what parts will be needed to finish the retrofit? I do have the trailer brake controller behind the right drivers dash. Adding a couple of pics trying to explain the situation.

Help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, I fitted that kit but to a year 2021, 12 inch Uconnect 4. I believe yours is a 2022 with 12 inch Uconnect 5, so probably the head unit connector is different & requires either an adapter or a different harness altogether

Further to this you need a dealer to add the option to your VIN and activate the trailer camera option in Uconnect. Any FCA (Fiat, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, Jeep...) dealer in Germany can do this specific operation, I did it in Madrid with a FCA dealer

I just checked on Mopar online accessories search & as I mentioned, for a 2022 RAM there's no visible camera/backup accessories, but when searching for a 2021 it immediately list the kit. The kit specifically says it's only for Uconnect 4, 8 & 12 inch...
