“Service Active Dampening System” Warning After Minor Bump

I’ve been to the dealer three times for this issue and have had the recalibration done and the module replaced. I still get the error when going over a minor bump leaving my neighborhood. It’s very annoying, but as said above I don’t notice any difference in driving so I have just lived with it.

I wonder if the Tazer reboot procedure would work for this?
I had initially married my Tazer to my TRX, I have had no issues with it on my 392, and none on my TRX. I decided to unmarry it because I wasn’t using any of the non-live functions. Following the unmarry procedure I did the full reboot twice as directed. The next few days I noticed the cruise control was slowing 4-5 mph to set, wouldn’t hold distance, suspension didn’t feel right…then I noticed the pitch of the truck on flat ground was minus 6 degrees! Well, my driveway has a 6 degree incline which is where I did the reboot. That’s when it came to me that ZAutomotive states in the directions to do a full reboot on LEVEL GROUND AND WITH STEERING WHEEL STRAIGHT. So I found the most level ground I could find, did the 2 reboots again and boom, no more cruise control issues, pitch is perfect and suspension went back to feeling like it should.
I think it might be worth a try if you have a Tazer.

Well, that’s not very promising. I just started getting this message after installing the rear Eibach HD springs. I took it to the dealer today to do the recalibration, they had no clue what I was talking about. When I picked it up, they said they completed it, but only afterward did I learn there’s a specific procedure that the techs at the dealer may or may not have known or followed.

My question for you: did you talk to them about needing to have the truck on a lift when performing the recalibration? Also which calibration did you have them do? Rebound (PCM) or Ride Height (ADCM) ? Or both?

PCM. I told them about the procedure (which I read about on this forum). The service manager was a bit dismissive like “yeah, yeah we know what to do”.

Are you still experiencing the issue. I did PCM recently, and still the same result, but from all my research yesterday, I learned there two re-calibrations, Rebound and Ride Height.

I am going to try to do the Right Height version (ADCM) and see if that yields better/different results.

This thread is a little old, wondering if anyone has any more updates?

I have a 2021. IGLA and a Tazer unmarried (daytime running lights, nav in motion, and auto-fold mirrors are what I use it for.)

Eibach springs and 37” tires have been on it for years now. Just started getting the “Service Active Damping System” and “avoid high-speed maneuvers” messages. Started a couple weeks ago right after I replaced the battery. Wiring and connectors is all good. Shocks aren’t blown.

The odd part is I can still change suspension and stability modes, and they absolutely work just like they always have… sport mode is nice and tight, street and Baja feel exactly like they should.

Any new thoughts on the topic? I really wish I could just do the rebound/ride height rest procedures on my own with AlfaODB…

Check these posts out:

So, I took my vehicle to the dealership again this morning, to re-do the calibration, with the specific instructions I just posted above.

They were really awesome about it and recalibrated both the ride height and the rebound. They asked me for permission to test drive after they performed the task to see if it would get rid of the code/message.

No bueno.
They came back with the following:

"Upon performing TRX suspension rebound reset found level sensor valves to be concerning with left rear level sensor voltage only being at 0.2612. Will create star case to discuss with Chrysler to confirm if this valve is in normal range"

I told them cool beans, let me know when Stellantis gets back to you. Once I got home, I spent the rest of the day digging into how this system actually works. Eventually, I learned more about the sensors themselves, what they look like, how they’re mounted, and how they’re supposed to be connected.

So I am like let me go check things out with all this wealth of new knowledge lol. Maybe the rod for the sensor is bent like some other folks had.

Tell me what's wrong with this picture 😂:

I couldn't believe it. I am almost certain this happened after I had the HD springs installed, because immediately after the install is when I started getting the message. I assumed that when you mess with the suspension, it was common and just had to recalibrate. Not sure if they pop off easily or what, or if it's even part the process (doubt it) and was forgotten to be put back on, but what's crazier is that the dealership handled my truck twice for this ADCM issue in a span of 3 days and didn't notice it.
I know this sounds silly, but have you checked the ride height sensors themselves.

There are 4 of them, one for each corner. You can easily check this yourself.

Make sure none of them are bent or popped off (like it was in my case above).

Here is an example of what it may look like bent:
