What did you do to your TRX today?

20230209_184912-01.jpeg

Finally got a few pictures of the Builtright racks I purchased from Mike on here. I have a few more items coming in but it does clean up the bed

Later today, I will install the 60" LED light string back there.

I had the M&R fog light kit installed today. The shipping was quick (thanks @DIABLOPOWER702 ) and the lights, brackets and wiring were nicely packaged and ready to go.

The amber lighting is exactly what I was looking for, color and intensity matches the marker lights perfectly. The white lights are very bright. The bracket fit just as it should for a great oem look. Very pleased so far.

Looks awesome

Installed the bed LED strings recommend by MontanaMuscle and likey drove him crazy asking questions. Turned out good but seemed like they could've figured out a better way to link the lights vs splitting them so you had to figure out a way to run wires across the tail end of the bed. Easy solution if you have a bed rug. Not so great if you

have spray-in bedliner.

I will be excited to see it when it gets dark. The picture is with the bed cover completely closed.

Nice! So do the new fog lights switch between white and amber color? Have you noticed a difference in driving, during various weather conditions?

Thanks. Yes, have the amber lights hooked up to Aux 2 and the white lights hooked up to Aux 3. The white lights are very bright and don't think I will be using them with any oncoming traffic around. They are really designed for off road. The amber lights are the same brightness as the marker lights so are really for appearance, they don't project the light.

They fit perfectly in the cut outs for the factory fogs so they don't look like add ons.

So…this was a bit of a labor of love. Sprinkled with OCD, and near the end….a lot of aspirin for my back, shoulders, and hands. But. After about a week and a half- I finally got my truck 100% Dynamat Extreme covered. Roof, floor, back firewall, storage bins, doors. I did the 1/4 Dynaliner on all the plastic trim pieces and the door panels - didn’t order enough of the foam for the firewall or roof (but I’m okay with that). I’m a bit of a perfectionist, and I wanted to make it look good even though no one would see it. A lot of templating, but I think it turned out fantastic. Oh- and what’s more important- zero issues with truck electronics or panels (save for one stupid clip I broke when pulling panels, but it wasn’t an important one and the rear seats sit on top of it anyhow). I also took this time to pre-wire my truck for any accessories (ran hot and ground wires in the factory channels alongside the door sills). Definitely not planning on taking her apart again. Headliner was a PITA (this entire project was a one woman show) and so I had to get creative with my head and some Milwaukee work lights to balance stuff while unplugging wiring harnesses. Anyhow - it’s finally done and I feel my ears kinda pop when I shut the door. It’s freaking fantastic. Speakers don’t buzz anymore- no matter how loud I’m pushing it.

On a separate note, I also need to give a shout out to @Shifts_And_Grins - I had asked him to fab a better mounting bracket for my UPR catch can, because the one that came with the setup was janky as shit. Like just super dumb. Dude came thru and it looks factory fresh- almost unremarkable (if you didn’t know what you were looking at). Which is just what I was looking for. So if you have a UPR can, I’d say this bracket is a must have. Freaking awesome quality and machining. Oh- and I swapped out for the breather catch can - but same bracket concept.

I installed my Timbergrove air bag kit and ran the line up to the engine compartment passenger side. Now I just need to get the compressor, manifold, controller, tank and brackets.

EDIT: I added an air fitting so I can fill up/air down the bags so I can use them until I get my ARB set up.
