Took delivery on Friday and spent Sunday installing the 0FG Exhaust by @AWE I had bought for my last truck before the suspension went tit$ up -
Also placed 37" tires on stock black wheels and replaced the stock lugs with black gorilla lugs from old truck.
First - on the install of the AWE exhaust - it was a bear - but possible to do as a home gamer with no help - but you have to be patient and a glutton for punishment -
I tried to do the install without removing the central yellow suspension damper but it proved impossible - and getting that thing back on solo was a wrestling match but finally slid back into place.
Two most difficult aspects were removing the exhaust rubber hangers - even after silicone - but I was trying without the dedicated tool which would probably make that much easier - and replacing the rear damper - which requires a lot of pressure to compress and get back into position. No major injuries to me or the truck - except when I was picking up the trash at the end of the job at 2am one of those copper staples on the box slid right underneath my finger nail - and I bled like a stuck pig.
New exhaust sounds a bit louder, a bit more of a bark on harder accel (but haven't gone of 3500 RPM yet - still have less than 100 miles) - but no drone and no ill effects on cruising speeds. Obligatory cold start video of new exhaust - though I know those are beat to death.
Next is bed cover with yakima system, bed rug, JL stealth box...gotta save up some dough though - she goes in for PPF and ceramic next week and that $hit is expensive....
