Dodge Power Broker

We got our first load of parts! It is very satisfying to see "Demon Cylinder" and "Demon Piston" on your packing slip. We all need a little Demon in our Hellcats.
Will the tune for the Hellcat stuff work on the trx?
So if we do the Hellcat (not redeye) upgarde packages; will it work on the trx?

Hellephant transplant to a TRX !

The answer is, I do not know. In theory the engines are the same and therefore the tunes and pulley should work with minor tune modification. My thoughts are, I would not alter the power in this truck in any way unless I upgraded the Diffs and Tcase. There is a reason these are tuned down hellcat motors.

Thanks for all the info. I was looking at the catalog and it is pretty sweet. If I had not already purchased some mods I’d hold off and go this route. It may mean yanking the ripatuned im about to install, I’ll leave the ARH headers once done, but an intake/pulley/tune package from power brokers would be great.

I cancelled my AFE intake order because of this (and the wait).

I’ve looked into the rear diff and the whole assembly.
That rear end will take a whole lot. People are pointing at the shocks which make this a “unique off-roading truck”. That full float D60 with thick shafts and high spline count…

Now the front… I have a feeling that’s why it’s Open diff with brake controlled slip and not a limited slip like the raptor. I have not had an opportunity to see what it’s built with.
The case is strong enough, so unless you have issues like pulled shafts (cough cough cough… repeated issue) the case isn’t going to fail.
The question is what is the strength of the input shafts and the carrier etc.

The fact that it’s awd and worst case scenario is a 50/50 split in low range. I’d be willing to bet a 70/30 in baja in high range even on 37’s will be fine with a bunch of extra power. The rear will be motivating the truck enough to take the issue.

Now for drags racing on pavement… I have no idea.

100%

The rotura kit is Definitly better than stock, but I am not a fan of their calipers.

Im hoping someone will come out with an 18 inch wheel brake kit that uses a quality caliper.

Or I may have to learn to use cad and design a set up using wilwood rotor rings and their calipers.

What I hope to see for the TRX is an upgrade brake/rotor/caliper combo kit. The only time this thing scares me is when I am crawling downhill or during emergency braking.
Would be nice to know if the Demon/Super Stock calipers will work with the TRX's 18's and if they show an improvement

The caliper may show a little bit better pedal feel. Maybe... Not sure how flexible the 57mm slider is and how stiff the oem brembo is. If its the same family caliper frame as the Subaru STi and all the other 4 piston brembo equipped oems... It wont be a huge imporvement in pedal feel. Those are not the greatest.

What the TRX NEEDS is a thicker rotor. We can go to as stiff of a caliper as we want, and as many pistons etc etc etc. But that 30mm thick rotor up front is just going to heat soak beyond belief and no caliper is going to help.

A thicker rotor using better steel and more effective veins with a similar sliding caliper will be a MUCH larger improvement than the same rotor with a 4 or 6 piston caliper of any type.

The Rotora has a 6mm thicker front slotted rotor with aluminum hub. It’s good stuff. Not Bremo Quality but still very nice. Should definitely be a great upgrade.

Fifty hit it on the head with his reply. Also the demon and super stock calipers are not good for the TRX since they are a 4 piston that is not really meant for hard stops and prolonged hill descent use. They are a weight saving measure for drag. If I were thinking this direction I would look at Redeye or regular Hellcat, but again this is not going to address our issues. We need a specifically engineered solution.

First chart is for the Hellcat and Super Stock, 2nd chart for the TRX, and 3rd for the Trackhawk.

If only the SRT Grand Cherokee was 6 lugs because that rotor is the same size as the TRX and slightly thicker. Looks like we wont have an off the shelf upgrade from other Stellantis products and will have to go to aftermarket to fix our braking issues (tires, rotors, pads, brake fluid, etc.)

One of the worst dealers in my area is also a power broker 😂 wtf??? And one of the best where I picked up mine isn’t…. How do they choose these dealers?

I suspect the factory would want a nice share of their cake and the big dealers that will sell either way must not see the return in such parts & service vs share paid to the factory. I'm sure some big shot dealer mogul will jump in here soon to throw in some cool aid as this forum is the best praying ground for them.

Power brokers don’t matter if they aren’t releasing anything for our TRX’s this is just stupid the same parts for the car is the same for the truck why can’t we just have it put on

Well I am not a big shot mogul but I will throw some cool aid on the fire. Dealers were specifically chosen by key metrics that pertain specifically to Reliability and accuracy in service repairs (FFV, fixed first visit and warranty) Customer perception (surveys taken by customers). Sales performance (surveys by customers) sales metrics tracked by Stellantis. (how many customers downloaded the applicable app for their vehicle, did the sales agent follow up with the customer). etc,, There may also be sales figures and vehicle type sales involved as well but I am not involved with that. I do know that all of these metrics must be maintained. If you fail in one you can and will loose your Power Broker status as a dealer. I will admit that the profit involved with Direct connect parts is much lower than with any other aspect of the OEM. It will most likely stay that way since the dealers prices are set side by side on the Mopar site. Your price variation is going to come in labor rates that are set regionally and by reputation. The dealers who make this list are process driven. The people chosen in the dealership are generally muscle car enthusiasts. I for one care more about creating the madness of a standard Hellcat that puts down the power of the Demon rather than how much I made on the deal. Its nice to turn a profit. But is that really the point of this?

This is the problem at the moment. Since this is a Dodge thing I am not sure it could come to Ram under the Dodge Power Broker umbrella. I would expect that if it does come to Ram it may still require a Power Broker to do the sale and install the parts but it will be done under some Ram specific program. If nothing does come to the TRX that would be very unfortunate.
