What would you change?

I went middle of the road on my 2022. Level Two, Advanced Safety, Trailer Tow & Mirrors. The only thing I think I may have missed was the bed utility group. I was going to buy the bed step later, and was on the fence about a bed liner. Now I'm thinking maybe I should have done it. Is it too late to change an order that's in D status?

I left out a few things. I would have liked the panoramic, but worried about issues. My F250 has it, and had to get it worked on twice while under warranty. Now I won't even open it for fear of anything happening outside of warranty. I've heard of others having drains clogged leading to leakage into the truck. I just don't want to roll the dice. Regardless, I notice I rarely even roll back the inner cover, so passed on it.

Left out trailer steering after watching them use it on TFL. Didn't seem as useful as I thought it would be. Probably like trying to use the parallel parking system in your car. By the time you get it initiated and going, you could have been finished by doing it yourself.

I'll buy the tonneau aftermarket. There are better options out there for the price.

Skipped side steps so I can buy the retractable ones. If they'd offered them, I would have added those.

I like the understated look so skipped out on the graphics. Also, maybe I don't get the work involved with graphics, but $1400 for what amounts to stickers seems excessive.

I was split on carbon fiber, but didn't feel the need to splurge on it. Since the interior is all black anyway, there wouldn't be much contrast.
You can still add stuff when in D status. Talk to your dealer and make sure they're persistent to their Ram rep and it should happen in a week or 3.

Level 2: A truck this expensive should have all these options.
Carbon fiber: The base plastics look terrible (imo) Carbon looks great!
Bed group: nice to have the liner, side step and tie downs if you plan to use it as a truck.

The rest seems to be preference or stuff you can buy aftermarket easily. Just my thought process.

I've never ordered a vehicle whilst waiting the 3-6 months without it being fully loaded with all options. Blank switches annoy me, and not having spec'd something I could have does as well. In essence, I want it all.
yep...that's me too...buy once, cry once...

My TRX is fully loaded, except RAM BAR, Tire Rack and stickers...

it also helps with resale👍🇺🇲

This car is so unique that the HK system does not belong. With the entry level Alpine or a $4k option for a real audio system.

Exhaust is tame relative to other Hellcats. Exhaust needs to be updated so it has a throatier sound.

Only mistake I made was ordering the OEM bed cover. It’s not the best option for a cover IMO. Othwise the truck is perfect for me. Fully loaded less sunroof (too heavy) and advanced safety group (not my drive style)

lv2
HK sound system (now standard on lv2)
red accents (looks great)
carbon fiber (looks great)
tech group (auto lights, hud are great)
graphics on hood and fenders (adds a lot IMO)
Standard black wheels (bead locks = more screws for my tire guys to screw up)
Off road running boards
bed utility group
tri-fold tonneau cover (only mistake, install a weathertech after deliver instead)
engine block heater (cold here)
trailer tow group (probably won’t pull anything but if I need to I would regret not having it)
trailer reverse stearing control (not sure if I would like this or not)
I don’t think level two comes with HK and HUD. Just got my window sticker tonight and it’s not listed….

I agree with some here, Lvl 2 is a MUST. One of the best things about this truck(besides the engine) is how comfortable and nice the interior is. Lvl2 along with HUD, rear view camera/mirror constantly remind you what a distinct ride the TRX is.
I wasnt a big fan of the RAM BAR when it first came out but must say in person it looks awesome. Gives the truck a unique TRX look from far. All trucks ordered at my dealership had that option and I'm glad because I really dig it now. Red accent interior is cool but the dark gray IMO is just as nice.

I’m short so the hud works perfect. If I had to do it again.

base truck, remote start, hk, heads up. That’s probably it. All that leather and options add hundreds of pounds. You get all that motor/etc for sub 80k sticker plus the discounts. If you are ordering level 2 anyway then just check every box you kinda/sorta want

The 3 things that bug me:

1) the mirrors. The advertising sucks. It makes it sound like you have to get the tow mirrors to get folding and heated mirrors. So i did. I’m not a fan of how they look… but… ugh.

2) beadlock capable wheels. For the price they should have come with the rings in a box. I like the way they look, but they are heavy wheels, and expensive and the rings even more so. A quality beadlock billet wheel is less. Oh well.

3) ram bar… I go back and forth on it. Hate it… want it… hate it… want it. Now I am throwing the add version into the mix

My order is a blue 22 with:
Level 2
Tech package
Bed utility group
Tow group
Carbon appearance
Beadlock capable wheels
HK sound
Wider mopar steps
Sunroof

You got the 7.7k price so it doesn't, if you have the 9.9k price it does. Guess you ordered level 2 without the options before the merge thus you have the smaller one

Hud display is useless if your 6 foot 2 or above. I can’t see the display without ducking down. Pretty stale.
You are wrong. That's because you havent adjusted it. I'm 6.3" and it is perfectly leveled to my eye sight. Go to settings, HUD, lower the display(I've set it to 1, the lowest) and adjusted brightness to 10(brightest). It sits right on my eye sight. Many people dont know it can be ajusted.

I didnt, I ordered surround view cameras and HK.....I just got put together....

I'm exactly 6'2" and I think it's perfect for my height, although it is set to the lowest setting indeed and my seat is as low as it goes as well (otherwise my head touches the headliner lol). I do need to duck down a bit to see the display in the instrument panel.
Bf is 6'5" and he says it's perfect for him as well on the lowest setting. I guess his legs are just longer or something.

Only two things I regret a tiny bit are:
  • Rambar...
I used to hate it but now that I've seen a couple with them, I think it looks pretty cool if you put some lights on it. It wouldn't work with my tonneau cover and might not fit in the garage anymore, which is why I didn't get it, but still... looks cool. I'm with Fifty on this one, hate it, love it, ...
You also had to get them with the tire carrier (not sure if that's still the case), and I have absolutely no use for that.

  • Red accents and carbon fiber...
Said we weren't gonna get that in Europe (despite being fully loaded), 2 months later after the first deliveries, they start popping up (at no extra charge... meanwhile it's like 4000 for both in the U.S. or something like that)... Would've felt a little more special, but I don't think I would've waited 2 months for it so yeah. The carbon fiber in particular looks really good imo. I can live with the white stitching because it gives the interior a classy look (especially the seats), but red would've been cool.

Damn. I ordered the tow mirrors for the same reason. Are they obnoxiously large? Was hoping they’d sort of blend in with a truck this size.

I’ve been begging to find out. Also trying to find out what the trailer spotting light looks like.

The negative thing about the ram bar is the roof line eliminates 50% of the lights abilities going forward.
So you can really only run spots up there.
Ah well.

Tow mirrors are easy to spot, the turn signal is triangle shaped and in the upper corner. I don’t care for them but they aren’t obnoxious.
