Howdy folks, I hope everyone had a great Christmas and are looking forward to the new year. Thinking about order a DT for the truck but seeing kinda mixed reviews of it. What are your guys thoughts? Does it void the warranty?
The main features and probably the only ones I would really be using are the amber daytime running, disabling the seat belt ding, and disabling the the honking on exiting with the keys with the truck still running. Thanks in advance!

if those features you want is worth paying $300, then yes, it's worth buying. Some budget conscious folks will say otherwise but I certainly did.

Does not void warranty.

Go for it. I have had one on my TRX since the day I bought it and my Jeep 392 for 4 years now. It’s married to my Jeep, I use it for gear swap, tire size and a ton of other stuff. The TRX it’s unmarried and I use it for ambers, 3rd brake light flash, auto folding mirrors, front sensors activate front camera, seatbelt ding, etc. I suggest ordering the extension cable wth it for easier access if you want to remove it. I never remove mine, my dealership doesn’t care. The live functions, the ones we are talking about are remembered when you remove it.

Have been using one for 3 years. autofold and amber drl. I had it married for the first 6 months and realized i do not need to for any of those functions.

I loved mine, I just sold my trx and have one for sale if you want to message me , I am about to list it

Not worth it and buggy. I have Amber DRLs, no seatbelt chime without Tazer
Have you had a tazer? What issues did you have or just echoing what other people have said?

I've been using the Tazer for about 2 years (married) with zero issues ever. Before I installed, I made sure I had it updated with latest firmware. I use it for amber DRLs, auto folding mirrors, park sense camera, pulsing 3rd brake light (4 at medium speed), light show for fun, read/clear DTCs, kill 3 honk, auto park kill and of course, PIN enabled for a little security.
The seat belt chime feature does not ever work properly, but there is a basic workaround for this which is well known for Ram as follows:
buckle your seatbelt, turn the ignition to RUN (no start), wait for the chime to stop, then unbuckle and re-buckle three times, ending buckled; turn the ignition OFF, then start the truck to confirm the chime is gone (the light may stay on)
I love that it keeps the sport mode setting after ignition is off then turned back on so I do not have to select it each time (I drive in sport mode 100% of the time)

Seems like there is quite a bit of negative feedback around these Tazers but fortunately, I have not experienced any issues ever.

Glad to hear you haven't had any issues, I've also seen a lot of the negative feedback so it's' good to see a postive experience hahah. For what I've seen sticking to settings like yourself have kept it trouble free for most people.

The OP has a 2024 TRX, so the click-unclick seatbelt trick won't work. He can eliminate the chime and activate the amber signature lights with AlfaOBD.

I've never heard of auto park kill, and there's nothing in the manual about it (that I can find). What is that?

Edit: Nevermind, I found it in the latest user manual. I guess it was added fairly recently (it's not in the manual I have).

I have one for sale. Never used in the box. Make me an offer.

Have had mine for years works perfectly.
A buddys '22 reacted to it like a vampire looking at a cross. We tried everything but I suspect the tazer unit had issues.

I cant drive without it, makes the truck so much better. Amber drls, folds and unfolds mirrors(that should be standard by RAM!), surround and rear cameras go on when your turn signals go on.

I’ve had mine across two different TRX’s and in my ‘24 for 9 months or so. Zero issues. I don’t use much besides DRL’s and front camera activation though.

I kept having issues with the front camera being displayed on the uconnect when driving with no way to switch the screen, mostly when I had the turn camera option enabled. Only trick I learned was wait for a redlight to put the truck in reverse then back to drive and it would clear it out. Please tell me there is a better way fix this.
