Quick intro and Quick Question

Hi everyone, just joined about a month ago, after having been a stalker for about 6 months. I decided to sell my GEN 2 , 2019 Raptor and place an order for a 2023 TRX. I ordered a White, level 2 with a few other options. I'm really excited to taking delivery and seeing first hand what all the hype about this truck has been. I'm sure I wont be disappointed!

My question is regarding delivery, specifically receipt of a VIN. I placed my order a little over 2 weeks ago and the dealer tells me that although they have confirmation that the order for the truck was received, they do not have a VIN yet. How long from the date of order placement can one expect to get a VIN?

Normally, it's only a few days at most to receive a VIN. But to my knowledge, RAM has not issued any 2023 VINs yet. So you're not alone.

No one has received a 2023 Vin as production didnt begin. Normally you receive a Vin 24-72hrs after placing order

You don't order through the website, you order through a dealer. Based on what happened last year, I'm guessing the "Build & Price" part of the website won't be updated until around Thanksgiving.
The dealer will have the build options in his system.

Received my 23 VIN number a couple of days ago. Dealer told me I'm in "D" Status. It was just about a month from when I placed the order that I received the VIN. So I have now joined the "anxiously awaiting" group.
There is an old saying that says actually having something youve wanted and waited for, for a long time, isnt as enjoyable as the anticipation of getting it was. I have found that to be true in many cases, not sure if it applies here, but I'm going to try to convince myself that it is true to ease the waiting pain.
