I finally got around to completing the ambient lighting kit from Oracle. The install wasn’t too terrible, but there were some difficult parts like the door rubber grommet wire routing.

Overall I think it adds a nice touch. I can adjust brightness and it has most features found with Bluetooth controllers like color change, patterns, rotation, etc.

Strongly considering this kit but I may just do part of it. It seems my 23 and others are missing the 2 lights by the key and performance buttons. I dont drive it much at night but I'll check to confirm that they are/are not there. So far, the wiring from what I rrad isnt there either.
Looks dope.

Btw, how did you change the color of your radio screen? Mine is still the basic Sirius white. Guess I might need to read the book. Lol.

I ended up making my own ‘brackets’ to hold the new LEDs in place. I had them missing on both sides of the steering wheel and in the middle section in both rear doors. It was a pain in the ass since they didn’t have any of the plastic housings used to hold the OEM LEDs. These housings are required to make this kit work, unless you custom make them yourself like I did.

You can also buy the OEM housings individually as you’ll need them to complete the install. Good news is this kit isn’t dependent upon the OEM ambient lighting harnesses in any capacity. You basically run the Oracle harness parallel to the existing OEM wires and zip tie them down.

I was originally pissed about it, but then decided I’d rather deal with it myself than take it up with the dealer.

To be honest I’m not sure, it was apple car play so the background to the Daft Punk album may have done that.

Looks awesome. I only have the dash kit installed but I have contemplated installing their full kit in addition to it. It would create 2 zones that would be able to produce 2 separate colors at the same time but I just haven't brought myself to make the time to do it. Your install is definitely inspiring as I mostly have the purple color in your pictures as my setting 95% of the time. It looks damn good.

Just how extensively do you have to disassemble the dash to install that lighting? Any pics of it all apart?

In your setting are you running dark or light mode? In light mode my screen went white instead of black. My screen looks like the above from @PunisherTRX

I believe you're asking about the general color themes on UConnect. In Settings (Display section), there's a "set theme". I run mine on the setting that makes things red. I tried the whiter one, and didn't like it.

There's a YouTube video by oracle. I am tackling this myself, I did the dash and footwells last weekend. I am planning to do the doors this weekend. @PunisherTRX are the front doors more difficult?

@GC34 I’d say the fronts are easier since they don’t require any drilling into the OEM plug like the rear doors require. You’ll still have to unpin/re-pin the 4 wires from the Oracle harness to pass it through the blank space in the OEM plug.

There's no way to pass them thru without drilling?

Not that I noted when I installed mine. The had to drill directly next to the OEM harness it’s a duplicate of the OEM harness female connector just blanked out, so you’ll have to drill through it at least 1/4” wide drillbit to allow the Oracle harness to pass through.

Not that extreme, you just have to pull the infotainment off to get to the light tubes in the dash. For power, you tap into the cigarette lighter harness. @ORACLE has really informative videos on YouTube. They definitely helped simplify the process.

where can someone get the whole kit and can you change the color of the LEDs? instructions?

@Oracle Lighting lighting makes this kit called the complete interior ambient lighting kit. Yep the LEDs do change colors, but there is no dedicated white chip so white has a bit of RGB color tones to it.

They may have some deals on the forum, but I’m not affiliated nor sponsored by them. They have a decent video on YouTube of the full installation process that I used to help me.

How does this compare to Paragoptics that other threads have talked about?

I do not think paragoptics RGB has been released to anyone yet. It is hard to compare. If you go with the 1 solid color from paragoptics, red, green, blue, or white than you only swap the little circuit board in each LED housing. No wiring. Super easy, clean, simple and looks great. The RGB is a whole different level and I have not seen how paragoptics will wire. I did read they will also have a controller so probably very similar you will have to run wires to the controller like Oracle.
