Hey all! I’ve recently purchased a havoc edition and I was told the truck is delivered to Ontario last Sunday. Today I received a phone call from the dealership. My salesperson told me when they were doing inspections to my truck, they noticed there’s bending bolts that damaged the front frame and they cannot fix it in the dealership, which means it will be sent back to the factory for fixtures. Does anyone experience this before? No idea what’s going on next… they have emailed Chrysler about the issue and I’ve attached their email here.

What a bummer. They will probably replace the frame. Surprised the dealer isnt doing it. If it wasnt brand new a good welder could probably fix that right up.

Interesting. I’ve seen that before - check out this thread. The dealer blamed it on abuse of the truck by the owner.

Gosh his clunk looks really beat up… I’m not really a technical person (although I’d love to be) and at first glance I didn’t really know what happened to the eccentrics. Luckily my dealership isn’t trying to hide that from me

They made it sound really serious/scary in the phone tbh. I thought the entire truck is wracked or smt lol but ig it’ll be a quick fix?

Are the bolts not fully torqued? Just curious so I can check and tighten mine when I take delivery

I’m not 100% sure what the issue is tbh… but I was told that the bolt was not aligned correctly and it cracked my frame. I’ll keep this post updated once I got more info from the dealer

Bummer but I see nothing a skilled welder and a careful paint job can't fix, question is if you want the risk of moving everything to a new frame on a new truck. I'd probably go the welding way with some $$$ off and an extra frame warranty or the wait time for a new truck as you already have one ;-)

The bad news is my black one is stolen and it’s never recovered ;(

I’ll send this to my salesperson & the technicians but I think they will prefer sending the truck back and let the factory fix it
Yeah, let the dealership ship it back for repairs. Otherwise the responsibility falls to whoever makes the repair.

It just worries me how long it will take for them to fix it and send it back to Ontario. I would assume it’s not gonna be completed within a month or two

Depends if they can fix the current frame, or if they need to swap your truck onto a new frame.
Either way, its what needs to be done and that takes time.
Like @Eighty said, this is the second eccentric frame tab issue we have heard of on the forum. Hope that guy is listening.

Might think about a new one. If and that is a big IF the frame is removed lol the resale will be for squat after that. I would never buy a frame repaired truck as new.

Wont go on any report since it's done at the factory before sale.

I’m curious if they will recall and cancel this truck entirely. I think it’s not likely but there’s the chance🫠

If it's just the frame, they will literally take everything off and put it all on a new frame. It's not really all that difficult especially at the factory.

Sorry but you are incorrect. Mine had several issues that were found during the dealer inspection prior to me even knowing about the truck. I was never advised of them however, when my oil line loosened off the cooler and the engine almost seized, the dealer in Houston where I was there was a very helpful SR who told me of the issues because it is there in the service records. He also advised that this was a "screen" he was not supposed to show owners. It is all there just have to know how to look it up.

Also, that vehicle is sold--------to the Dealer. The Dealer has not sold it yet.

not showing on Carfax tho. And for the sake of argument, since the dealer did you wrong, did you try to remedy the situation by letting your buyer know of the issues or you jet let it slide like the dealer did it to you?
