Anyone on here have an aquarium/ fish tank hobby?
I must admit I was uninterested until this past weekend when I was at the fish store with my fiancé. Who started her fish tank hobby up again recently. And came across a breed called “German blue rams”. As an owner of a hydro blue ram trx and a German shepherd dog. I figured there can’t be any other fish in the world that makes more sense. After some convincing I was able to get a few😂. Anyhow absolutely beautiful fish!

Had many fish tanks and crazy fish. Craziest one was an arowana, suckers grow fast. Had probably 15 different pleco species too. Have tons of pics somewhere.

Wow! Yeah she got one of those plecos! Cool fish.. shits like a horse though 😂
I used to breed 4 or 5 different bristle nose plecos, then had various other ones. Got out of it all but have been talking about getting another tank, good stress reliever

Agreed I find myself staring at the tank more than the tv now. Definitely an upgrade to the room!

Perfect I’ll send you all the unwanted fry for that convict 😂

I have a saltwater Red Sea tank. Not the most recent pic it’s a couple years old but nothing has changed other then the coral is pretty much all over the tank now. Same fish though. View attachment 157330View attachment 157331
Looks beautiful. Is saltwater a considerably harder tank to care for vs freshwater? Never even looked into saltwater. I don’t think the guys on the tv show “tanked” do a great job explaining 😂

Salt is all about the initial setup tbh. I haven’t did a water change and can’t even remember lol. Just add water to the auto top off. After it becomes established it takes care of its self. Way cleaner than fresh tbh.

I know...timing and "Wife Approval" i have this 1000-1500 Gal setup in mind..."but boss" said no so far since we have wood floors...and I wold have to redo a lot of the living room and basically the first floor to "wood look porcelain tile" to account for the weight....Maybe in my "retirement house" when the youngest is off to college.

And yes the wife complains I spend more time with my fish that my kids at times... but hey, they are are lot less noisy and are a stress reliever vs. a stress creator...

They definitely are a lot more stunning to look at!
