There are so many Dash Cam choices out there and it can be very confusing to pick the one you feel will best suit your needs.
I'm looking for a Dash Cam that will have a front and rear facing camera, have the highest resolution possible, be small, and most importantly allow me to monitor on my phone through an app, my vehicle whenever I want in real time. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for the help!

I'm kind of in a similar situation.. I just got the Vantrue X4s on a black Friday deal, but I ended up sending it back.. I primarily didn't like the size + set back from the windshield. I'm also not seeing a huge benefit of 4k over 2k in video resolution, at least in between this and my Jeep camera (Rexing).
Right now I think I'm going to test drive a Viofo and see how that goes.. It mounts like the rexing, but also has a rear view camera. The Garmin mini someone else posted looks interesting too, but that one has no rear camera if that is a dealbreaker for you.

I think the Garmin that someone posted about on here doesn’t have the rear facing camera but Garmin does have a model that does have a rear facing camera. I just haven’t been able to determine whether it has the real time feed to the app. That’s what I really want.

Viofo just released the new A139 PRO. It’s the first one with the new Sony STARVIS 2 sensor.
I’ll be installing mine today

Where did you get the 4K version in stock?

That one looks cool too, dang.. Ok holding out on the A129 until I see how this one is

I'm also checking out the Nexar One. Unfortunately the rear facing camera module is out of stock right now, but when its back in stock its supposedly just a simple plug and play. I might be leaning towards trying this one because so far its the only one I have found that clearly states that you can monitor your vehicle in real time when connected to their app, 24/7 as long as the camera is hard wired to the vehicle.

LTT did a dashcam review where they looked at the hardware in each cam and found that they all pretty much use the same parts. I don't have a link but it shouldn't be too hard to find.

I am looking at buying the Blackvue DR900X Plus for my TRX when it arrives.

A little pricey, but I'll check it out. Thank you. Perrystein put up a link to a YouTube video comparing cheaper models to more expensive ones, albeit, not this expensive. The video explains how most of the components used were the same ones no mater the cost of the dashcam and some of the less expensive models outperformed or were equal in camera quality to the more expensive ones.
Its a very confusing thing to decide on.

The price will depend on what you want your dashcam to do. If you merely want it for video recording of your driving and crashes involved in, you can do the front and rear camera only with 32mb memory card for $469. If you want it for vehicle security, then it gets more expensive since you'll need a battery backup and LTE to upload your recorded video (add $450). The battery pack prevents your vehicle's battery from being drained. For $69 more, you can upgrade to 256mb memory card from 32mb.

Thank you very much, I will for sure consider this dashcam. Like the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for!"

This showed up on my YouTube suggestions today.

I have deeply discounted Blackvue LTE setup in the classifieds for sale.
it is 1080 not 4k though
