Ok so I'm at 45K+ and time for a new set of tires before the winter. Went with Falkens after 20K miles on the OEMs and big mistake. They suck and I'm not doing another winter on them. I live in New England (MA) and looking through all the threads thinking of going with the General Grabber A/Tx.....a good thread on it and seemed to be good in the snow/ rain.....Any thoughts or other recommendations before I make the switch. Thanks

I have not tried the general grabber yet. I like duratracs in the winter.

I haven’t had to change tires on the TRX yet, but Duratracs are wonderful in the snow. Highly recommend them form previous experience on other vehicles.

Toyo Open Country AT3's are suppose to do well in the winter.
They sure do, have some on my 4Runner and they haven't skipped a beat. My Raptor had Cooper AT3 XLT and they were awesome too, sidewalls are a little boring but great tires, smooth as glass.

Oh, I would never consider tires with boring sidewalls.

Gotta have something exiting to look at while waiting for the wrecker to show up when the tread failed to deliver.

I know you're being sarcastic, but I agree with that sentence 100%.

This is a perfect example of an ugly tire making a good looking truck look like crap. It's a Rebel, but it looks like a lifted Laramie that skipped leg day. I don't care if that is the best tire in the world, it's wrong for that truck.

My wife has a Chevy Colorado ZR2 with the factory Goodyear Duratrac on the truck right now. The truck has around 34,000 miles on them, and while there is still a good amount of tread, the road noise is terrible. At highway speeds the tires hum like a mud terrain. They have performed pretty well, but when it comes time to replace them, we will go a different route for sure! If my General Grabber A/Tx continues to perform and wear well between now and next fall, we will put the same tire on the wife’s truck.

Actually I'm tripping, found a pic they looked great actually! Sorry for the Raptor pic, but she was a beauty..... Slow though.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I think it'll be the Toyo's or the Generals.....
